Sitting through torando sirens right now.
Ha! Yes we were in a hallway. But I have a small downstairs closet also that I routinely would clean the coats, hats, gloves out of and make that where I would go - but never did. Went to the bathroom instead that night. Yep it’s pretty safe except for the glass mirror in there....
Yes - and now here is a link:

southeast of Seymour to 21 miles north of Louisville to 12 miles

available... seek shelter on the lowest floor of the building in an
interior hallway, bathroom, or closet. Use blankets or pillows to
cover your body. Avoid windows.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 200 am EST Wednesday morning

The squall line is breaking up but if you are within an hour or two of this front you will get possible blow-outs from the tops that will hurt you. Stay safe.
Thank you very much for the prayers for everyone in the area of these storms! I’m praying too. My son just checked in again. Still OK. Storms there now are not so bad and it doesn’t look like they’ll get any more tornadoes. He said Union University was hit really bad and will get some pix tomorrow. I’m going to bed now and hope to be able to sleep.
OH you are? Are you in Indiana? Ky? TN?
get in the bathtub!
Thank God your son is ok. Yes I bet those pictures will be amazing tomorrow. Get some rest.
TAS, Go to the basement, or get in the bathtub or closet!!!! PLEASE!
I am praying for you and all in harm’s way, right this minute!!!!
Good - hope you get lots of rain and not much wind. WE need the rain in central NC also - very badly - hope to get some tomorrow as well....without these bad winds....but the winds are coming too.
I suggest a comfy mattress on your head also.
thanks much
from Cedar’s link upthread:
Union University in Jackson, where a 2003 tornado killed 11 people and one in 1999 killed nine. Eight students were trapped Tuesday but werent seriously injured, school spokesman Tim Ellsworth said
There was an update about an hour ago saying 3 were still trapped but not seriously hurt.
One report said Dr Dockery, the UU president, said this tornado damage was 10 times as bad as 2003! Thank God there were no people killed.
Stay safe everyone!
