Romney went into Taxachusetts with budget deficits and balanced the budget every single year without raising taxes...

He simply raised fees, and fines and anything else not called a tax by more than enough. Can't have them saying he raised taxes... there's that presidential run to consider.

The Talking Point Radio hosts you listed have proven they are conservative in name only. They have lied about Romney’s extremely liberal record.

It looks more and more like it is going to be McQueeq/Huckster. As far as the GOP is concerned, I am done with it, it just shot itself in the feet.

Yeah it’s too bad. McCain and Romney are splitting Huckabee’s vote.

Looks like I’m reduced to rooting for Obama against Hillary.

Me too. How pathetic.

Obama is anti-Israel and will talk with terrorists... does that change your mind now?

With all due respect, Fred looked disinterested until that debate in South Carolina. Its not Rush’ job to energize the climate for Fred.

The RNCs influence became very noticeable in the 2004 and 2006 election when they ran ads against conservatives challenging for GOP held seats- candidates who were far more conservative and Republicans. That’s when I knew the establishment, old boys club RNC was in control. There’s is no doubt in my mind they have been making back door deals for McCain already.

No, I will not vote for McCain. Never. The Republican party is just trying to kick out all Conservatives and semi-conservatives. It is like a purge.

I loved Rick Santorum. I couldn’t vote in PA since I lived in NJ but we met him while at my parents’ house in Philly back when he was running for his first term. I actively campaigned for him. It’s a shame he wasn’t appreciated.

MA: 31% reporting 52% McCain 40% Romney

That doesn't look right. I thought MA was called for Romney.

Thankyou!!!!! MY MISTAKE!!!! Copy error.

MA: 35% reporting 52% Romney 40% McCain

Maybe you can vote for the lesser of two evils. I can no longer.

Isn’t the purpose of having an early winner to begin the ‘healing’ process

The purpose of having an early winner is to increase the importance of the media, decrease the importance of parties, decrease the importance of ordinary voters, and foreclose any possibility of actual consideration of issues or any discussion of second thoughts.

The system of selecting two individuals to run for President, only 40 years old in its current incarnation, is collapsing right in front of our eyes.

Power is up for grabs.

Cui bono?

You know, it really is NOT “everyone voting for McCain”. He’s getting much less than 50% of Republican voters most areas. There isn’t a solid palatable alternative, is all. Frankly, I’m not sure who could have united the more conservative Republican factions this year. There were a couple conservative Republican governors who, two years ago, I thought would make the effort, but they did not position themselves to do so.

I’m still hoping my third choice, Romney, can pull out this nomination, but it’s not looking very likely.

You can’t blame the breakup of the Republican Party on the Evangelicals. The leadership of the party was pushing Rudy McRomney at them and they were desperately searching for an alternative. Thompson got in late and didn’t really try to reach out to Evangelicals when he did get in. Really the only mistake that Evangelicals made was throwing their support behind Huckabee rather than Hunter. However, Huckabee is a dynamic speaker so its not surprising. Anyway, the party elites who pushed Giuliani, McCain, and Romney as the possible nominees are the people who deserve the credit for destroying the party - not the evangelicals.

Yoou can cry all you want about Thompson. I voted for him in Michigan although he never showed his face here. His loss was his own fault.
If these endorsements mean so much, why is Romney losing so many states now?

I have considered writing in "John Galt", however apparently in Connecticut write-ins need to have been pre-approved by the Secretary of State, so no dice...

On a lighter note, look who was in Connecticut the other day:

Once a fool, always a fool, huh...
