And still a sitting president came within one state of losing to a liberal trash nobody Senator from a cobalt blue liberal NE state during a time of open warfare and unparalleled economic prosperity.

And I'm one of the worker bees from that "one state" who will NOT be campaigning for the Arizona Senator if he is the nominee. After the demoralization we suffered at the hands of McCain ahead of the '06 election - with the resulting loss of DeWine's seat - I can tell you it'll be hopeless here next Fall.

Still miracles can happen I guess.

“I won’t vote for McCain in the general. I’ll sit it out.”

I'm gonna write in Rick Santorum. I will never not vote. I want my voice to be heard. Maybe someone high up in the GOP will take notice at the number of voters who showed up to vote for a non-Democrat Republican.

Talking about lines in the sand. Does anyone remember that General Schwartzcroft wanted to go after Sadaamm in Bagdad during the first Gulf War, only to be shot down? Sad, but true.

So Rush, Sean, Mark Levin, Ann Coulter, Robert Bork, Jay Sekulow, Pete Hoekstra, Among many more CONSERVATIVES are all gullible and not conservative? Must be they changed the definition of CONSERVATIVE and didn’t tell me.

Some of these guys, including Rush, have shown that you can be conservative and stupid. Some of these guys did not support Thompson, a real conservative, when he was in the race. Those that did not are just plain stupid.

And I don't have much sympathy for stupid people who whine about the outcomes that their stupidity helped create.

I never thought I’d say it, but I’ll probably be sitting out the general too if McCain is the choice. Not gonna vote for that guy...ever.

Isn’t the purpose of having an early winner to begin the ‘healing’ process, followed by ‘united’ attacks upon whoever the opponent selects?

What you didn’t like the first or second Pres Bush for President? You didn’t like Dole for President? What about Reagan?

Who is the RNC asking you to “take one more for the team”?

It does actually seem that way. I expected Huckabee to be being a spoiler tonight. However, in the vast majority of states he is coming in 1st or 2nd. Romney is often times 10% or more behind Huckabee.

It's the worst election of my lifetime.

Yeah it is pretty damn bad. But it was bad in 1976 when Carter won as well after Nixon disgraced the office.

As a matter of fact I was stationed at Hood that year and I wrote in Bob Dole for POTUS. I never did care much for the top of that ticket.

I'm still a Bob Dole fan, though that is a bit of heresy here at FR. :-}

I agree. The Party faithful, and I don’t me us little guys, calls the shots. Backroom deals and collusion will make the “Chosen One” appear to be our chosen one.
