The good news about this primary season is the pro abortion rights, pro gay rights, pro illegal alien rights, anti gun rights Rudy Giuliani was soundly rejected by the Republican primary voters!
Hurrah!
As Rudy was being actively promoted by the mass media and the liberal/moderate wing of the Republican party and for many months was billed as the so-called GOP "front runner," this was a great victory for the pro life and liberty conservative wing of the party!
Hurrah!
At least the previously {cough} pro abortion former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney was politically astute enough to realize that a pro abortion candidate cannot win the Republican nomination, so, wisely, some say cunningly, adjusted his core bedrock principles accordingly.
Thank God!
Vote as if your life depends upon it!
It does.
Vote to secure the Blessings of Life and Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity!
Prayers are powerful. To me they are an action step. Are you saying you disagree?
During the 40 Days for Life that starts again tomorrow in front of all Planned Parenthood Abortion Clinics, are you signed up to go pray for an hour once a week and walk back and front of the PP clinic?
I am. I can’t go tomorrow because of the Ash Wednesday Masses, but I will be there other Wednesdays for one hour.
Is that the kind of action you are talking about?

This will have to be my last reply for the evening because I have other things to do tonight. Look I wish you sucess in your endevor. However a hand full of cases you stated don’t amount to much in a nation of 300 million (330 counting illegals). By culture war what I meant was media. That is the key. As I stated earlier this is too complicated to go into now.
However there are other important issues besides abortion. There are in no particular order national security, illegal immigration, taxes, energy policy/independence, education, war against islamic terror, just to mention a few.
By putting everything on the line over a presidental canditates view on abortion and abortion only we are missing the focus on many other critical issues. This is killing the conservative movement. Anyway enough for the night and good luck.
Got news for you, we will not BE in power as long as we run abortionist RINOs. And there’s nothing you or I can do about that reality. Nor should we.
Jim,
You are just the type of guy H.L. Mencken was talking about. Later, and remember GOOD INTENTIONS ARE NOT ENOUGH!
Whatever.
The GOP is a pro-life party. That will not change no matter who gets the Republican nomination.
A new democrat President will overturn all execute orders related to abortion, and will promote a culture of death while in office.
The republicans will become more and more moderate on almost every issue including abortion to get more bang for their buck and try to appeal to more dems to stay alive. They won’t have a choice once the borders open up and the huge number of new dem voters sign up year after year and move into the south, that is my prediction.
A snowballs chance in hell.
I firmly believe, and I do mean firmly, that when we get rid of abortion completely, everything else will start to be right with the United States of America.
We have been told again and again......that abortion is our main sin.
Have you ever heard what Mother Teresa of Calcutta told President Clinton? I’ll see if I can find the FR thread.
**The GOP is a pro-life party.**
Is McCain a pro-life candidate?
I know Huckabee is.
And I know that romney did his flip-flop act on this one. Can hardly trust that.
The vote, the split--Mitt 35%, McCain 22%, Paul 21%, Huckabee 19%, and Keyes <1% (not sure where the rest--the other 3%--went), shows deep rifts in the party, here, anyway.
Whatever the Republican Party does, Conservatives must keep up the fight, either within the party or elsewhere.
It is past time to think strategically, though, and consider veep candidates who will be capable of still serving in 16 years, at the end of four terms from now.
As much as I respect Fred, this would leave him out.
The absence of such men (or women) groomed for the job, or at least with a suitable resumee is what has hurt us this year so far, and may continue to do so. Conservatives should think carefully about who they elect to Governorships, lieutenant Governorships, the Senate, and the House, for this very reason, with an eye toward the White House as well.
No Guiliani? One bright victory in a grim battle in a long war for the America we want to pass on to our great-grand children.
Thanks again for this forum, the perspective gained here is mighty helpful in what might be otherwise darker times.
You either kill it or you don’t. Your either a liberal or a Conservative.
Life must be the first priority. Everything else, taxes, spending, the war, homosexual agenda etc.................... comes after you have life.
On the bright side, with HillCare, the lines will be so long and waits so intolerable, fetuses may develope to a point where they start kicking and the abortor may have second thoughts.
As a guy, the miracle of life is unknown, yet rumblings in my own body get me to thinking about things like, oh, I don't know, 'moderation'?
As a comedian once extolled about a woman's special virtue: "Nothing that comes out of my body will eventually graduate from college."
