WOOOHOOO! GO MITT!!!
Cool that Huckabee did so well vs. McCain. Perhaps Huckabee can knock off McCain in some of those Southern states that now show McCain on top.
You’re a little early.
interesting.
Romney will win, but he has to get from 41% to a majority, and with Paul out now, he will gain in the second vote.
I think you maybe a little premature in the call.... But it may well happen.

Tuesday 5 February 2008
All 18 At-Large Republican National Convention delegates from West Virginia are pledged to the winner of a majority of the delegates attending today’s State Presidential Convention (for which said delegates were chosen from 1 through 14 January last): a maximum of 3 Roll Calls will take place until a majority is secured by a presidential contender, with the third- if necessary- taking place between the top two finshers, short of a majority, on the second Roll Call. (West Virginia will pledge 9 District delegates in a Tuesday 13 May 2008 Presidential Primary).

My sister lives in West Virginia...is a doctor up there with her husband...she said a move for Romney has been going on since Fred dropped out. I am not shocked about this. Fred voters in WVA went to Mitt.
Hmmmmm - how can it be 100% when its only 1:35 in the afternoon EST and the polls aren’t even CLOSED yet?????
I saw a thread like this last week saying MYTH had won Florida.
WOW....huge victory!
2nd round results has Huckabee leading 52% to 47%
Well, at least McCain didn’t get them.
Results per CNN (100% reporting):
Huckabee 567 (52%)
Romney 521 (47%)
McCain 12 (1%)
I am sure McCain is happy goober won over the West Virginians.
What a joke.
Slick Mitt the Faux Conservative.
Faux (pronounced /ˈfoʊ/, like "foe") is a French word for false or fake. It is often used in English phrases such as faux pearls and faux fur.
When manufacturing faux objects or materials, an attempt is often made to create products which will resemble the imitated items as closely as possible.
Unless Romney is able to hold his own today in other states we’ll be stuck with a mccain/Huckabee ticket. The democrats have to be loving this...

With Romney it will be harder for the Dems.
It’s official, from what I’ve heard, that Mike Huckabee has won the West Virginia Caucus. This is terrible news for Mitt Romney, as it illustrates his problem in the rest of the South holding primaries today. Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Oklahoma and Missouri (not quite South but still) are all competitive but it looks more to be a McCain vs Huckabee battle there than a Romney battle.
Romney has rolled the dice in California as his last hope. But even if he won there, how would he pull off enough delegates in a state where the districts are apportioned rather than winner-take-all?
