You heard it right. Thousands of Virginians didn’t know when their own primary was.....pathetic really.

You heard right. I heard in on the local news this morning.

It certainly doesn’t give me confidence that my fellow Virginia voters are particularly smart.

FoxNews’ bottom of screen graphics are hopelessly cluttered and bewildering...

But I would rather have a Democrat in the President's chair who would cause the GOP to have a spine

Cause the GOP to have a spine? Who is the GOP? You act as if there is one person or even a small group that comprises the "GOP" and that if enough of us have a temper tantrum that will convince the "GOP" to fix things.

One has to first understand the problem before suggesting solutions. The problem is two-fold (at least)

(a) lack of strong conservative candidates that can persuade enough people to vote for them

(b) lack of enough conservative voters themselves.

Of course there is the MSM but that is even less fixable. Without a and b we are screwed anyway.

Most people don't even follow politics that closely and get their news from CNN or some favorite site. So Rule no 1 in politics is you have to reach these people and you have to have the votes. And true conservatives don't have enough votes throughout the country. Its a combination of lackluster candidates and a generally politically ignorant population.

Exactly how and why this guy [McCain] is even in the party I don’t know!

Because Jim Jeffords jumped first, apparently. I heard Ann Coulter on a radio show yesterday, and she said that Daschle said in his book (which I seem to have missed!) that just before Jeffords jumped, McCain was in negotiations with the Dems to do that very thing.

Drinking Coffee I'm about 15 minutes behind on TIVO but what in the world is with FNC?  They have Romney in MT with 2,1815 votes for 25% and McCain with 13 votes and 30%.  In Alabama McCain has 12 votes at 1% and Romney only has 3 but scores 25%?????  And in Georga McCain has 5,017 votes at 35% but Huckabee is the projected winner with 2 (two, 1+1) votes and 17%

Britt has some s'plainin' to do.

In 12 years. McCain looks likely to get the 2008 nomination and picks Hucleberry for VP. They get clobbered by HRC/Barry.

This quickly turns in to a C*F.

Then Mitt gets the nomination in 2012 because we never pick the person. We just default to the second guy in the primaries as the next nominee. And Mitt is the next next.

Imho, John King uses data, not emotion or agenda. There’s something to be said for that in the MSM arena.

My two top issues are illegal immigration (no one is close to romney in that regard) and the economy

No one is close to Romney regarding the economy either.

understand from WMAL that the Virginia state authorities had to turn on their election phone bank tonight to take all the calls complaining about many polling places being locked or unmanned.

Virginia’s primary is February 12

Wait...Does that mean some of them were opened and manned?! ;o)

I PRAY you are right! And I pray it is for this election not 4 yrs. from now. I made the mistake of being registered Non Partisan. I couldn’t vote for who I think will be the BEST President in my life time! Mitt Romney! the BEST!
