The dynamics of political party connections, the political process itself and public perceptions have once again yielded the top two contenders of each major party in the 2008 presidential race. And once again, the public can only hope that the ultimate winner of the White House will be a candidate with the most leadership substance.
My vote is for Mitt Romney.
History is important, but the future is more important. Making history is nice, but nice can’t make critical decisions. The success of this country in the future will be shaped by the leadership abilities of the next president.

It's not statistically valid to compare any candidates until they have started running against one another. People aren't thinking in those cross-party terms yet and the results derived from asking them to are premature.
Personally I think that the younger and more energetic Democratic candidates would clean McCain's elderly clock in the general election. I doubt that America in general would vote for an inexperienced and highly liberal young black guy or a well-hated woman in preference to an experienced and eloquent man of some stature. McCain is too easy for the Dems to attack on too many points.
Thanks. Romney is picking up significant support in places like Missouri and California and I believe he will make a storng fight of it Tuesday...and thus be able to continue and perhaps ultimately win enough delegates to be the nominee.

Is this the same fellow that subs for Neal Bortz on ocassion? I have enjoyed listening to Him anyway. He is right on about Mitt. No one else has his leadership ability.

I looked at Florida and saw Rudy/Huck get one 30% of the total vote. If they weren’t in the race, Mitt would have won going away.
You might consider what the author has done with his life, as opposed to what you have done with yours. Cheap off the cuff ignorant judgmentalism doesn't fly too far. Sorry 'bout that.

Another way to illustrate the problems with McCain is to “flip the script” and imagine the opposite. Would the Democrats nominate someone who crusaded to close the borders, keep Gitmo open and allow waterboarding, voted for the Bush tax cuts and against global warming taxes, worked to enforce the “nuclear” judicial option, and was in the lead to prevent restrictions on free speech in political campaigns? Doubtful at best.
Romney should go third party if he does not get the nomination. Screw the Republican Party machine. He does not need the Republican Party. They are not giving him any money anyway.
