OFFICIAL FR SUPER BOWL XLII LIVE THREAD
NEW YORK GIANTS VS NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
Sunday February 3, 2008
At University of Phoenix Stadium
Glendale, AZ
6:17PM ET
TV Network: FOX
Go back and read the post he made that I replied to. Then come talk to me about smarmy arrogant comments. Pro coaches are there to win games, not make people like them. If he (and you) can’t take the heat of criticism for poor comments, then stay out of the kitchen.
“Cheating requires a benefit from the act.”
No, it doesn’t. *Attempting* to get something by doing something “illegal” is all that is needed.
Again, look at the post about burglary. Doesn’t matter you never managed to make off with the goods.
“Are you positive that no other team did the same thing this year?”
Again, rationalizing with the “everyone does it”. Clinton’s OK because everyone does that. Probably many teams have and are, and hopefully they’ll be caught and spanked. That doesn’t erase the fact that the Pats were caught and deserve the attention for it.
1 doesn’t go easy on robbers just because they aren’t the only 1s doing it and lots of others have never been caught.

Where did he attack *YOU* - or anyone else on this forum, FTM?
Was it Eli that got sacked when he ran with the ball but was able to hold onto it with his thighs? WOW!
The other play (the near sack and amazing catch) was so great it overshadowed it and I can’t find anything on it.
The Pat's got attention for it. They were hit hard by the league. Nothing more needs to be said. So, the burglar who gets caught, even though he did not get anything, and does time for his act in prison, and then is let out after doing his sentence, should receive continual criticism without having done another thing wrong? That's the postion you are taking. No one deserves a another chance. Pathetic.
Oh, so it requires that I be attacked before I can respond so someone’s mental instability over their hatred for another human being? Not buying it.
He shouldn’t expect to get less criticism no matter how much “time” he did. He will always be looked at suspiciously. That’s reality. Just as with child molesters always being hounded. You can’t avoid catching some mudslinging for what you did.
This is a mite different, albeit the illustration fits generally. They deserve a 2nd chance NEXT year, when there’s a new slate and it’s unblemished.
Buy it.
The general rule is, if someone isn’t attacking any “real” person (Belichek doesn’t count because he’s a public figure whom no-one here really knows, and he’s not posting here), you don’t attack them “personally”.
Get the popcorn ready. It's going to be a looong off-season for the cheaters.
What I think really turned their season around was that near-miss loss to the Patriots in the last regular season game.
It was after that that the team and Eli really started to believe in themselves and in each other, and once that happened they improved drastically.

“I won $500 riding a ten-dollar square for two quarters. Trouble is the old lady was there.
We’ll probably get new curtains or something. :-(”
LOL, congratulations and enjoy the new curtains. I hope they remind you of the game each time you open them ;^)
Okay. I give.
Now let’s see if Eli can learn how to win in his own home stadium.
This is a morbid question, but I’ve always wondered - have there been instances in sports history where a player of a losing team commits suicide after the game?
Sorry if this question is in poor taste.
During the (Soccer) world Cup a player fotr the Colunbian Team killed himself when he let the USA score the winning goal in ‘94.
W/E. Much ado about nothing. Specter should stick to what he does worse - Politics. What a RINO.
It was thing of beauty by the Giants defense and that picture shows it.
Not bought. Poorly made product (defective even).
And, I didn’t attack. I asked why he had such vitriol for someone who he doesn’t know or who has done nothing directly to him to deserve such hatred. Again, if you can’t stand the heat of criticism then don’t play the game. I think it pathetic that so many people spend so much of their time hating someone who doesn’t even know you exist. What a waste of time and energy. That is the crux of what my comment said.
The stirring video tribute to the Declaration of
Independence Fox News did yesterday before the
Super Bowl. Many football greats participated.

Again, demonstrate the “blemish” from this season. When any of you Pat’s haters come out with the evidence of an actual blemish (the NFL couldn’t fine anything other than a confiscated video taken before any use could be made from it) then perhaps we have something to discuss. Until then all you’re blowing is smoke. The Pat’s beat their 16 regular season opponents and their two post-season opponents without the use of the “cheating” videos. So, all wins were earned. They also earned the loss against the Giants in the SB. Your complaints or attacks against them are meaningless.
Nope, but they are my forever team.
But something changed. That something was meeting Lt.Col Gadson. After they were introduced to him, the Giants began to play like a team again, and they put their heart into every play. They have had the right mindset ever since, and *that* is what propelled them to greatness.
