I’ve been praying for my country for months and months, and I’ve also been praying for my countries enemies, that their hearts and minds be changed.

Mitt 30%, McCain 30%

That means 70% of Republicans don’t like Mitt, and 70% of Republicans don’t like McCain. Too bad we don’t have a conservative in this race.

Amen!

Pray, dear saints, PRAY!!!

We all know in our heart of hearts that a McCain presidency has the potential to be worse even than a Hillary or Obama presidency.

At least with a Democrat as POTUS, the conservative base will be mobilized, and attempts to punish conservatives will be mitigated by the Republican contingent in Congress.

Under McCain, the conservative base will be punished, and the Republicans in Congress will be compelled to go along with him, however reluctantly, while the Democrats participate WITH GLEE!

PLEASE PRAY!!

The Nation AND the GOP will be destroyed with certaintly under McCain who has a long and shameful history of collaborating with Democrats AGAINST conservatives!!

I applaud your suggestion for fasting and prayer, but I must say that I hope you’re not suggesting that Mitt Romney is the right guys. If you want the Lord to be part of this, then consider the fact that Romney belongs to a religion that does not respect the Scriptures as they are written. I don’t think we would want a President who isn’t really a member of the Christian faith.

Lord JESUS, have mercy on us!!

Deliver us from the onslaught of our enemies, domestic and foreign, those who endeavor to hurt us in myriad ways.

Please hear our prayer for the prenatal souls being sacrificed on the altars of lucre and "convenience".

May the hearts of our enemies be moved to mercy and grace and recognition of You as The Most High, for Your Glory and Purpose.

Amen

We're gonna get what we deserve.

I join you in praying for God’s will to be done. Almighty God can use a pagan, an amateur, a marxist or a mormon to do His will. I’ll leave you guessing of which candidates I am speaking. Where is the Gipper when we need him?

Yes! And it should be spoken in the pulpits. I’m praying for God to raise up an independent who will snatch the votes - all to the bewilderment of the media - as He blesses our nation!

I think we should be praying that Romney loses, if anything...
and not our will be done, but God’s will. Thank you for the
suggestion.

God cares about this nation and does care about this election! How much do we??? After all the blogging and talking,, will you be willing to press in with prayer and fasting??

Umm, ok, the creator of the universe, and all that is, really, really cares who wins the presidential election of the united united states???

Are you sane?

Rhetorical question, I know.

If the power that be really cared, why not a thunderbolt, or simply see that the beast was never born, as well as her whole lineage.

Men may do some strange stuff, but I seriously do not think the Lord cares who wins the 2008 presidential race, it's kinda...beneath Him?

Might want to try something less grand, like pray for your favorite football team to win. That might garner some favor.

Although this is a silly disguised plea for God to smite John McCain which the Lord of the Universe will never hear, I do in fact share your belief that He has a guiding hand on this nation and I'd like to tell you why; it has to do with our history:

Thomas Jefferson and John Adams are the very seeds of our two great political parties even though they were not called Democrat (Jefferson) or Republican (Adams)--and, yes, (although I cannot say it about every member who has ever been one), I believe the Democrat party has been great because there have been significant pieces of legislation Civil Rights, the right for women to vote made by under Democrats.
In life Jefferson and Adams were the bitterest of enemies because of their opposing political beliefs yet, right before their deaths, they buried the hatchet. Incidentally, the dates of their deaths came on the same day EXACTLY 50 years after the signing of the Declaration of Independents which, of course, they were the inspiration of its passage.

James Monroe, the first president to shout out U.S. sovereignty to the rest of the world, also died on July 4th.

James Madison, Father of our Constitution, actually prayed that he would die on the 4th of July like the other three founding fathers. It was not to be, God took him EXACTLY 50 years to the hour that his first draft of the Constitution was submitted to the Congress for debate.

In 1863, the United States of America was teetering at its existence to remain one country but two great battles in the Civil War would determine that outcome, one in what was known then as the western theater of war and the other in the east. And so on, July 4, 1863, Vicksburg fell to the forces of Gen. U.S. Grant and Gen. Robert E. Lee began his long retreat from Gettysburg, and never again was the country seriously threatened to split apart by two warring forces.

Abraham Lincoln, who I consider one of the two greatest presidents of this nation (the other being Washington) was assassinated on Good Friday (April 14, 1865) after experiencing only one week of peace as president after the Confederate surrender at Appomattox took place on Palm Sunday. Washington's death (on Dec. 14 1799) is also meaningful to me because it happens to be the date that the last regiment of British troops pulled out of Charleston, S.C. after the Treaty of Paris was signed to end the Revolutionary War.

These dates probably are just chalked up as "coincidental" to most here on this thread but to me they are evidence of God's Holy hand!
