Mike Huckabee, frustrated with the argument brought by his rival Mitt Romney , and some conservative commentators, that a vote for Huckabee would split votes from Romney, and help front runner John McCain, fired back, hitting Romneys record head on.
Actually a vote for me is a vote for me. A vote for Mitt Romney may be a vote for Hillary Clinton, because the fact is Ive got a far more conservative record than Mitt Romney ever dreamed of having,Huckabee said. Actually, if McCain wins the nomination; I’ll personally blame all the yahoos that supported that big phony Mitt Romney. Can’t anyone see he’s only telling us exactly what he knows we want to hear?
Me believes that ole Mike needs to ponder THESE appropriate verses long and hard ... eternity is forever ... .
Matt.16:26
[26] For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Mark.8:36
[36] For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
Where people can come up with branding him [Romney] a conservative is really, I think, tantamount to requiring an extraordinary amount of imagination.
Huckabee is correct again.
Mormonism is not Christian. However the Bible does play into their beliefs. The Book or Moromon supercedes the Bible. Having said that,
I see MORE BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES in Mitt Romney
than Mc Shamnest and the Huckster combined and they
CLAIM to be Christians.
We will proudly cast our vote for Mitt Romney.
As a Christain, unlike Mike Huckabee, we believe prayer has power and that even MORMON, Mitt can turn around and be a Christian by label and REALLY MEAN IT. Mitt certainly LIVES Biblical Principles, now we want him to turn ONLY to the Bible.
I didn’t say McCain would nominate him as running mate, but that Huckabee thinks by attacking Romney and his strong showing in the South would give him the best shot at being the V. P. Fox news reported this last nite not once but twice!
When Romney suggested that a vote for Huckabee was a vote for McCain, Huckabee ojected, saying a vote for him was a vote for him.
Now this.
Huckabee loses credibility taking this path, IMO.
“What a __________ Huck is. Shut the Huck up, Huck!”
Priceless!!!
A few months ago, I use to laugh at his jokes. Now he is a joke.
You did not read my statement Romney has more Christian family values that either Mcshame or the huckster. Mcshame and the huckster are not followers of the Christ! I know the creator of the universe: YHvH. I call on the NAME of YHvH for salvation Yah'shua.
You are putting words into my mouth.
shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua
Just about any Republican is more conservative than Romney.
But I am not voting for head Pastor. I know Romney is not saved and is lost spiritually.
Freshly picked "shrooms" .... (psychedelic...)
These new immigrants don’t understand and haven’t been educated in how our country is supposed to work and will not receive this education from the public school system, the media, or anywhere else.
It’s unfortunate, it is not their fault, but they are obviously being manipulated as a voting block by both sides.
Yes, I have noticed it too. Something is going on at Fox and I'm getting real tired of it. Fair and balanced is becoming liberal. We already have the MSM who will elect the next President, mainly because 2/3 of all Americans are brain dead.
How in the hell did the Republican Party get stuck with Mike Huckabee? The man has zero chance of winning, yet he continues to stay in the race to help in good buddy John McAmnesty.
I am concerned about this Romney fever here though. Some of the posts are off the wall. I keep asking myself, "is this really FreeRepublic or a new religion site. Huckabee has issues but guys ...Romney is not a saint.
Yes. [And let those who try to argue this point then simultaneously tell us that fundamentalist polygamist Mormons are also "Mormon"]
However the Bible does play into their beliefs. The Book or Moromon supercedes the Bible.
Yes & no. While the Bible is the lowest book on their doctrinal totem pole (and BTW, I'm referencing how each individual LDS looks at the Bible...that varies), the Book of Mormon has about 40 or so key tenets of their faith that's not found there. (That can be a surprise even to Mormons themselves...because their primary doctrinal book repeatedly claims that the Book of Mormon is "the fulness of the everlasting gospel" and it's the Book of Mormon that serves as the "front" for the LDS missionary to get someone to pray about. So, really the Book of Mormon actually plays into their beliefs much less than you would think...nothing in there about a "pre-existence" we had before this earth...about "families are forever"...about many gods...about God having a body of flesh & bones...about becoming a god...about God once being a man...being married for eternity...about 3 degrees of "glory"...about second-chances to accept the gospel post death...about baptizing dead folks...temple rituals...
I see MORE BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES in Mitt Romney...As a Christain, unlike Mike Huckabee, we believe prayer has power and that even MORMON, Mitt can turn around and be a Christian by label and REALLY MEAN IT. Mitt certainly LIVES Biblical Principles, now we want him to turn ONLY to the Bible.
How about these as key "Biblical Principles" we don't see in true believing Mormons:
(1) You can't become a god.
(2) Telling others they can just repeats the unTruth from the Serpent & Lucifer found in Genesis 3:5 & Isaiah 14:12-16
(3) You're not a literal "savior" of this world (their language not mine) 'cause you baptize dead folks by proxy
(4) Telling others that they have an "out" for spiritual procrastination ("Oh, you'll be offered a second chance at receiving the gospel after you die")
(5) Tithing to pay for the translation & worldwide distribution of the Pearl of Great Price LDS "scriptures" which says ALL Christian sects are "wrong" and their creeds are ALL an "abomination" in [God's] "sight" and ALL their professing believers "corrupt" [see Joseph Smith - History, verses 18-19]
(6) That you shouldn't directly pray to Jesus or worship Him as you would the Father
(7) That grace saves you only "after all you can do" (2 Nephi 25:23, Book of Mormon)
(8) That we need to focus heavily on the dead (billions of man-hours on geneologies & temple rituals related to the dead) that distract us from the living
None of those are "biblical" values
Only he and God know that. That said, I really don’t want America’s top leader on the wrong side of God. Remember David? Despite the mid east being unstable and the crazies we have at home, we have not been attacked again. That can only be from God’s Grace. We don’t need a leader that thumbs his nose at the Lord. A campaign is expensive. A Christian that walks with God is priceless.
“”””I know Romney is not saved and is lost spiritually.””””
Then why may I ask would you want him to be POTUS?
