...contacting my Texas Senators now to support this measure.
I'm betting that both support it.

Yes, he does. Glad to see a bright spot in a year when many Republicans seem to be letting me (and all conservatives) down.

But so does the Marine spokesman. Winston Churchill once said something to the effect that if we wish to enjoy the benefits of free speech then we need to be prepared to put up with foolish speech. The Marines are fighting to protect the right of the Berkley city council to be bozos. It’s best to follow the example of the Marines and ignore the idiots rather than give them the publicity they’re looking for.

And never forget, the City Council also voted to condemn...that’s right...condemn our invasion of Afghanistan.

Berkley is not even worth talking about. Put a fence up around and continue to make it a dump of ethnic diversity.

Armed only with the information here, I would have to say I like this idea.... a lot. What kind of impact would SF feel if the Marines pulled out? I think SF would make an excellent place for the Marines FIRST withdrawl and what a fine gesture it would be if the other wings of the Armed Forces considered doing the same thing.

I called my Senators and asked them to propose legislation to cut off all tax money going to Berkeley. The city went from protected free speech to endorsing harassment of our Marines and that’s not acceptable. If they don’t want the support of the government then the government should give them no support.

“The council also voted to give the antiwar group Code Pink a parking space in front of the recruiting office once a week for six months, as well as a protest permit.”
Wonder if they will give us a parking space and permit to protest Code Pinkies....
I also wonder what would happen if thousands of protestors arrived en masse on the streets of Berkley to counter protest.
Who would they call for street control? The National Guard?
But but they hate the military.
Let Berkley rot. I hope they never need our fine men and women to defend their sorry asses.

The Berkeley City Council this week voted to tell the Marines their downtown recruiting station is not welcome and "if recruiters choose to stay, they do so as uninvited and unwelcome guests," according to The Associated Press. These traitorous scumbags have the nerve to call Marines "uninvited and unwelcome guests" in their own damn country?

When the next big earthquake strikes, Berwkley should get no m,ilitary support.

The Berzerkly Police should all quit, walk away, and let the animals consume each other. The poor lil college students will be at the mercy of the homeless, illegals and such. They will really learn about being bullied, beat, and maimed. They will whine to be protected because it is their RIGHT!

I wouldn’t think Berkeley would be a target rich area for Marine recruiters. If you graduate at the bottom of Marine recruiter school you get assigned to places like Berkeley CA, Ithaca NY, Madison WI, Boulder CO, etc..
