The thought of McCain being our national candidate is more than I can bear. I know where Ann is coming from, and hate to admit that I’ve had the same irrational thought. If I’m going to be forced to vote for a RINO who is really a Democrat anyway and despises me for being a conservative, I’d rather just vote for someone who at least has the integrity to admit their true party affiliation.
Oh my goodness, I’ve just talked myself into it>
I’m also voting for Hillary.
I myself have to admit that I’m almost looking forward to the mess that a Democratic President and Democratic Congress would make... call it a learning opportunity for America. We oldsters often forget that so many people don’t even remember Reagan. Heck people in their twenties barely remember the Clintons.
However, were I to vote for Hillary, I’d have to sit quietly while we cut and run on national defense. That is McCain’s ONLY issue where he differs significantly form Hillary and Barry Obama. So in a way, my vote is being held hostage by the national defense issue. I won’t vote to cut and run and that’s what a vote for Hillary would be. McCain has me roped in... I would have preferred Romney, Thompson or Hunter to McCain but because Conservatives could not agree on who was pure enough - we got McCain. There’s some irony there but I can’t in good conscious vote to cut and run on the troops even if it does mean that “real” conservatives might be elected in the future as a reaction to the chaos created by Democrats.
You need to change your tagline. Anyone that claims to be "right" and then proclaims that he's voting for the bitch, is a just angry and irrational.
“Im also voting for Hillary.”
I’m voting for McCain, who is pro-life, pro-gun, pro-school choice, pro-market healthcare, pro-personal retirement accounts, pro-Israel, pro-free trade, pro-democracy in Iraq, pro-stopping Iran, and pro-killing OBL.
I find it Hillary-ious that idiots who claim to be the “conservative base” would put a closet Marxist in the White House over a real American hero like McCain.
Get a grip, people.
I’m with you.
McCain voted FOR Bork, Rehnquist, Thomas, Alito and Roberts. Half or more dems voted no. McCain has consistently opposed federal funding of abortion. He has opposed earmarks. he is 70% conservative. I agree with you that the other 30 is quite annoying, but please, grow up. In november we have to vote for the least awful—either R or D—and that will be the R!
Do I have this right?
Apparently, by me NOT going to the polls to pull the lever for McLame, I too will be “voting” for hill. I believe we are currently witnessing the implosion of the Republican party. If we must suffer 4 years of a socialist pig in the White House to put the sheeple back on track, so be it.
If McLame wins the White House, the Republicans will get blamed for all that goes wrong (rightly so) and the sheeple would still have to learn their lesson. I’d rather have the “punishment” coming our way sooner rather than later.
