Unfortunately, conservatives are fractured among all the candidates, and are not the reason for McCain's victory. In fact, one of the reasons a McCain victory is so frightening is that if he does it, it will be without most conservatives, and he will owe us nothing. BTW, Romney actually garnered more of the conservative vote, than McCain.
McCain has far greater notoriety at the moment, because he's been in Washington SO LONG and already ran for president, which is the reason Romney has had to spend so much, but all that will change if Mitt wins the nomination.
But let's get back to your original point. Stop insisting that because someone supports a different candidate or strategy than you, (in most cases a more realistic strategy), that it means a person isn't a conservative.
