“Youre right, we couldnt be sure of McCain nominating pro-life Supreme Court justices - that is why he will definitely need our prayers for God to give him wisdom should he be elected President. Hopefully we would get another 1-2 pro-life justices.
However, we can be sure Hillary would NEVER nominate a pro-life Supreme Court justice. She would nominate justices more in the mold of Ruth Bader Ginsburg - and innumerable more innocent, unborn children would pay the price.”
What’s the difference between Souter, Stevens, Ginsburg & Breyer? Other than Breyer being the smartest of those 4?
You can rightfully call them scofflaws for crossing the border illegally, but even Reagan saw something good in them, and I agree with Ronaldus Maximus on this issue.
Yes, the borders were unprotected and that is being worked on, but the fact is that 15 million or so are settled in this country. It would have been closer to seven million if we had not done such a poor job of trying to stop them without doing anything about the jobs that they were coming to fill and then we trapped the seasonal commuters in the country because they did not want to take the risk of crossing over and coming back. This is what caused pressure on social services. Remember that the jobs were seasonal.
No, I'm not fool enough to say they all would be voting "R", but Bush got a lot of them to vote for him and that has been destroyed. We will never see that again for a generation or more.
It is what it is,and it cannot be changed now. The damage is done. It caused a split in the party and the Conservatives have been isolated. That includes me as well.
Probably will not be voting in the general if things go as I fear or I might toss out a protest vote, assuming there is something else on the ballot, but I have not yet seen the list for the general as far as State issues... I won't vote for McCain.
I remember alright, and that’s why I don’t have any hope for the US after this next election.
A nation and it’s people can only spit in His eye so may times before He gives it what it’s asking for, a place on history’s list of once great nations and empires which rejected Him and His laws and are now gone and almost forgotten.
Did anyone who believes in a just and righteous God actually believe that He would simply excuse the American people with a wink and a nod as though He were a doting Grandpa and we were just naughty children? After murdering 50 million unborn babies without remorse and celebrating sodomy as a virtue what did we expect, a divine commendation?
We are on the same page.
We all owe him a debt of gratitude for his service to our country, but he's unfit to serve as President.
He has open contempt for business and capitalism in general.
He doesn't seem to understand economic issues at all.
He's proud of Justice O'Connor and made a point of not mentioning Justices Scalia or Thomas in the list of models for his nomination.
He openly and forcefully keeps repeating a lie about Romney's time table quote in a way that is simply not supportable by the facts or an objective mind.
He would, like Al Gore, attempt to cool the planet with your money! (for those of you who don't know, CO2 follows warming and is not a major contributor to global warming. The sun is the cause of cyclical warming.
Mitt Romney is by far the most conservative candidate and the candidate closest to Ronald Reagan in temperament, background and philosophy. He is also the most qualified.
Hackabee is almost conservative and a really nice guy, but at this point he's pealing off the conservatives Mitt needs to beat McCain. If he stays in the race through Tuesday's primaries, he could hand us the most liberal and unstable Republican candidate in memory.
I am one republican member of the conservative base that will have a very tough time putting his name in my yard or on my bumper. I would, of course, be forced to vote for him in the general if he wins the primary.
I don't doubt your conservative credentials, but does dividing the conservative party into smaller pieces seem reasonable just because a few RINOs fail to live up to our platform?
The only way your proposal would have any chance of success would be if the libs (i.e. the mentally ill) undertake a simultaneous symmetrical split of the liberal wing without dipping into our base of voters.
“Whats the difference between Souter, Stevens, Ginsburg & Breyer? Other than Breyer being the smartest of those 4?”
As far as I’m concerned, there isn’t much difference between any of the four. There are plenty of people who have high IQ’s, but lack a Biblical, moral foundation in their lives. These four justices are all liberal in their views and have no respect for the rights of unborn children.
It is a disgrace to our nation that we have such spiritually blinded individuals sitting on the U.S. Supreme Court.
“Mitt Romney is by far the most conservative candidate and the candidate closest to Ronald Reagan in temperament, background and philosophy. He is also the most qualified.”
First of all, Mitt Romney is no conservative and seems to shift his positions like the wind blows.
Recently Romney said he didnt “line up with the NRA.” But when he decided to run for president, Romney signed up for a lifetime membership in the National Rifle Association.
Ive been a Life NRA Member for years.
What disappoints me the most about Mitt Romney is he appears to be a slick opportunist. To become a Life NRA Member when you decide to run for President, for the sake of pure political expediency is quite frankly disgusting.
This shifting of political positions (gay marriage, guns, murder through abortion) demonstrates a foundation of quicksand instead of solid bedrock. This is by a man now in his 60s, not some kid in their early 20s. We dont need a President who is trying to decide which side of major moral issues are right and just - the Holy Bible provides a sure foundation on moral issues that is solid and never to be compromised.
I’m not a McCain supporter (Fred was my guy), but will not vote for Mr. Romney.
I just want the most conservative guy we can get. Franky, it is not McCain or anyone else who’s great, but not in the fight.
