I’m not so sure. McCain looks old and sounds even more old. McCain vs. Obama? To the uneducated voter, which is probably 75%, Obama looks energetic, has an attractive young family, talks a good talk, while McCain is from way back in the Vietnam era. McCain vs. Hillary? To me, it’s 50/50. Neither one have any experience to inspire confidence in handling the economy. It might boil down to whether or not Americans want a woman President. Either way, McCain definitely needs to look for a young, attractive, more conservative running mate.
I agree - The age thing really bothers me. I keep remembering how ancient Dole seemed - so out moded - so yesterday’s news. It was obvious that Dole appealed only to the older generation - the younger folks were no where to be seen at Dole events. And Dole lost.
