John McCain was in the military. He spent five years as a POW. He strongly supports the war in Iraq. Perhaps you should re-direct your self-righteous anger toward him.
I sent money to Fred Thompson’s campaign. Apparently, I was one of the few conservatives who did. If you don’t like the current GOP candidates, don’t blame them. Blame other conservatives, who had their chance.
Ye gads, you’re delusional.
Like Ann Coulter said, “I’ll vote for whichever fool the Republicans put up there.”
I'll agree that McCain is a war hero! He was not for W's tax cuts, Bush's judicial nominations (gang of 14), to PROTECT THE USA BORDER, he is pro GLOBAL WARMING and he is not a CONSERVATIVE!!
I voted for Ross Perot in ‘92 and helped give us the Clintons for the next 100 years.
I may as well vote third party or stay home this time and help put them back in the White House again.
Giving millions of illegal immigrants a pathway to citizenship is. There is just no other other reasonable course of action.
“The Dems wont be worrying at all as they will have one of their own as President.”
Really? When Hillary Clinton was protesting the Vietnam War, John McCain was a prisoner in that same war. If you can’t see the difference between them, that’s unfortunate.
John McCain is not my ideal candidate - I disagree with him on many domestic issues. But he’ll make a much better CIC than ANY Democrat would. My God, we’re talking about a party with a large base of constituents who WANT to see the US humbled in Iraq.
We should be called the NEW WHIG PARTY, because I'm seeing the last days of the GOP now!!
Your hero is against the freedom of speech, against Christian conservative values, against tax cuts, sides with the wacked out left more than his own party, and willing to generate millions of new legal entitlement addicted democrat voters through amnesty. Anyone here ilegally should be sent home and barred from returning. Millions are here without documentation and are felons when using a fake ssn. Lets just reward them and tell those who are trying to get here legally to just wait. I am sorry that I can’t share your enthusiasm with McCain.
“I am a true Republican. Those that refuse to vote for the Republican nominee are the RINOs.”
You are, at best, delusional.
“’ll agree that McCain is a war hero! He was not for W’s tax cuts, Bush’s judicial nominations (gang of 14), to PROTECT THE USA BORDER, he is pro GLOBAL WARMING and he is not a CONSERVATIVE!!”
Gerry Ford was not a conservative. But don’t we all wish he’d won in 1976, instead of Jimmy Carter?
Are you nuts? He is NOT A CONSERVATIVE -- and I just wrote the GOP that unless I see something positive in the platform - fair tax, OFFSHORE OIL DRILLING and DRILLING IN ANWR, SMALLER GOVERNMENT - and if McCain ask Michael Steele to be his running mate, I won't support the GOP - and I grew up as a REPUBLICAN. To paraphase Ronald W. Wilson: 'I didn't leave the REPUBLICAN PARTY, THE REPUBLICAN PARTY left me!'
At his age, I think McCain is just one strawberry away from a cerebral hemorrhage. Much depends on who he’d choose as VP. If he wants to appeal to the conservative core, he’ll choose Thompson.
The Freeper track record hasn’t been very impressive thus far, so the majority of responses to this question might be an indication the base would unite to vote against Billary.
At least that’s my hope...:)

You know, that was a long, long, time ago and far, far, away. John McInsane has been living off of his POW status politically speaking, for years now, and frankly I’m sick of it. What the h*ll does it have to do with how he’ll govern now, today, 50 years later, hmmmm? Not a d*mn thing. He votes liberal, got that, liberal. Amnesty, CFR, cutting taxes, and if you want to talk military or terrorism, he’s against waterboarding (thinks it’s torture), wants to close Gitmo, wants terrorists tried in criminal courts rather than military courts, and has always wanted to cut back on funding of the military in the name of spending cuts. Was for closing of lots of military bases. You are politically illiterate if you can’t figure this out, and cut the great patriot McLame baloney, I’m sick of it. This is 2008, not 1988. McPain is for all ostensible purposes a liberal RINO at best, or a moderate Dem pretending to be a Pub. Either way you slice the cake, he is not a conservative Pub. Probably will choose Joe Lieberman as his running mate.
Ye gads, youre delusional.
HOW TRUE — That he is!!
Anti-imigration extremists=majority of Americans.

Well said!! As much as McCain is a hero, I believe that he would make Jimmy Carter’s presidency look like Reagan. He is not going to appoint conservative judges and he won’t ENFORCE OUR IMMEGRATION LAWS!! McCain should run for PRESIDENT of MEXICO!
correction above: not 1978, rather than not 1988. Slip of the typing finger.

Not really, If Gerald Ford won in 1976, we wouldn’t have Ronald Wilson Reagan elected in 1980. Unfortunatly, if McCain gets the nomination, the GOP will be the GDP (Grand Dead Party). These are the last days of the GOP!
Shoot, McCain wouldn’t have a conservative for VP. It’s much more likely he’d choose his pal and co-conspirator Joe Lieberman.
