“What parenting? Too many listened to Friedan and left the home for the workplace. Rampant divorce followed.”

Then I’m not sure I’d label them “the greatest generation.”

Cheer up! I was a little down earlier but not any longer. This is a long race! Many things will be happening in the next week.

Internet and talk radio conservatives are the one who want the destruction but they failed.

It seemed as if it was a fight to prove who was most conservative, instead of fighting the liberals. Terribly short sighted. You've got freepmail!

It’s the debate moderators that will go nuclear on Mitt. He would be wise to drop out, save his money, and start a new business.

If Fred were pulling for McCain, the simplest method of ensuring a McCain win in Florida would have been for him to stay in the race. The majority of the Thompson voters went to Romney and turned him from an also ran to second place.

IMHO, that would be the most logical reason for Fred's decision not to stay until Super Tuesday.

You nailed it. The thought that immigration was a winning issue was Fools Gold.

One of my friends in NH voted for InSane and I asked why. He said anybody who sits in the Hanoi Hilton for 5 years and asks for my vote has already earned it. I may not agree but it is hard to argue.

Pray for W and Our Troops

Sorry. I usually try to find the funny side of life but after the trashing around here for supporting Duncan Hunter, then Fred Thompson, and now Huckabee, it’s getting a little old. Our country had two fine conservative men running but people wouldn’t give them the time of day because they didn’t think they could win and now we are hand wringing about what is left? If it wasn’t so important I guess that would be kind of funny, huh?

John McCain has proven with his victory tonight in Florida that Republican voters are not obsessed with immigration as the anti-immigrant jihadists would have us believe.
Furthermore, McCain's ability to win such a large percentage of the Hispanic vote also proves that Hispanics can be brought into the party through a sensible plan to offer citizenship to illegal immigrants. The Dims are quaking in their jackboots tonight.

Somehow I don't really think McCain cares. I think this is about his anger against the conservative base who defeated him with Bush in 2000. His purpose was to decimate the base and I fear he has.

If McCain wins the General Election, I would expect he'll make his enemies regret it. That means us.

-—2008 may be the last gasp for the old guard in each party.-—

I hope you’re right. I think Mitt Romney just came on the scene before his time. Maybe we’re not ready for his message.

I think that the amnesty bill was a Tower of Babel event for the Republican party. It’s as if we’ve been scattered and no longer speak the same language.

GWB himself was all ga-ga last night over “climate change.”

This election is the last chance for the Republican Party to stand for something different than the Dems. Looks like they’re not interested.

It took Reagan 3 attempts before winning the Pub nomination for Prez. Romney should sit out for the next four years, bolstering his conservative credentials beyond any doubt, and then run again 4 years from now if McCain wins, as he will only be in for 4 years because of age.

In that scenario, I would not only vote for Romney, I would campaign for him.

I would be in favor of a constitutional amendment stating the no one named Bush or Clinton, related to them, or descended from them (or even giving them oral sex) can EVER be elected to public office anywhere, for anything, or be given any position of power anywhere, ever.

But that’s just me.

McCain/Feingold states only adds approved by candidates are permmitted just before primaries and elections. How many Moveon.org adds have you seen on TV in Florida or SC the past two weeks? How many do you see now in the super tuesday states?
Answer: None!
527s keep the money in politics but still cannot violate McCain/Feingold as to issue adds before voting. Before M/F,if McCain told a lie two days before an election,United Vegans For Truth or Cosmic Muffins of America could fill the airwaves with Liar McCain spots.

“The wife of the Gipper will follow Fred Thompson in endorsing John McCain”

You are absolutely right. Nancy was never truly a conservative. Her good buddy is Michael Bloomberg. She is at best a RINO, actually more a closet Dem, influenced by her two brat kids who are both Dems or to the left of that. So I expect she very well will endorse John McInsane just as soon as he hits town in CA. Ahnold will endorse him too.
