Romney is unelectable.

all his money couldn’t buy a victory.
I’m also kinda tired of the political-dynasty thing.

Go Mitt! You’re our only hope.”

You ARE kidding, right?

Yeah your right lets vote for Hillary or Obama so they can steal more of our paycheck. Or you can sit at home a pout because no one picked your guy. Smart thinking, soon to be supporter of all who look for handouts!

If it’s McCain, I’m done with the party for the next four years.

Looks like you and I are done, then. Sometime this week I'm going down and change my registration to independent.

McCain saturated Florida this past week or so with his POW TV ads. Must have had a huge influence on the huge number of military voters here.

Hypothetical - Romney drops out (tired of spending money and knows Huckabee will keep going, making it very difficult for him to win any Feb 5 states) and we are left with a McCain-Huckabee race. Who do does Free Republic members vote for?

McCain has been kicking conservatives in the groin with a big smile on his face for the last decade and THIS is the guy we nominate?

The ONLY good part of McCain being “our” nominee is that I can tune the whole process out early and not invest any more time in it.

And yeah, I’ll probably check McCain’s name on the ballot but ONLY as a vote against Hillary. Hillary being unhappy on election night is the only thing that could motivate me to vote for McCain.

I wish we had a perfect Conservative running in this race. We don't.

Personally, I wish we had a republican running in this race.

Thats it. Democrats have won the White House

We are now a one party country. McCain is more Democrat than Republican.

Fred will endorse McCain.

When and where did this news break? Fred said he wasn't endorsing anyone. When did he change his mind? Can you site a link.

I predicted earlier that AP would call it with 57% of precincts reporting. Alas it is only 54%. So sue me.

I was going to put up the new Fox internet links, one to McCain's headquarters and the other to Romney, but think I'll go play solitaire or something...

I have said all along that I would vote against the Democrat with any Republican except Rudy. That's still my stand and it's looking like I will be voting for the nominee.

I can understand people whose principles differ from mine. The deal breaker for me is Roe v Wade.

On the rest of the issues - it's gonna be same ol' same ol. These are politicians; not statesmen.

How can ANYBODY with half a brain get behind McCain who identify themselves as a Republican???!!!

The real question being, "how many voters know the intimate details of each candidate".

I don’t think that Obama will be the nominee either, but in the context of the question posed, that was my repsonse.

You may have to hold your nose, but you’ve gotta vote for the Republican nominee, whoever it is.

Let Hillary appoint Bill to SCOTUS. Great Idea

Let Hillary/Obama pull the troops.

Let Hillary/Obama bring us universal health care.

Seriously, some people here hold grudges far too long and are more than willing to sell the country down the river just because they don’t agree with the nominee 100% of the time. Some people on this board need to grow up.

Why don’t you grow up and get your ass in Afganistan?? PULL OUR SONS OUT RIGHT NOW. I am voting for OBAMA. Sign up if you want to stay in IRAQ and AFGANISTAN. Get your SISSY ass over to the recruitment center right now.

Grow up you sissy and GO!!!!

I can't wait for a President Hillary administration. This country needs a good dose of socialism to bring it to its senses. I'm tired of simply voting for some gop candidate because they are the lesser of the evils.

Me? I'm paying off all my debt and saving as much as possible. Current GOP front runner, hillary, obama, does not matter, their all very left of conservative values; apparently, you as well.
