Duncan Hunter Endorses Mike Huckabee
National Review Online ^ | 1-23-08 | Byron York

This was a surprise. From the Hunter statement:

"I got to know Governor Huckabee well on the campaign trail," said Hunter. "Of the remaining candidates I feel that he is strongly committed to strengthening national defense, constructing the border fence and meeting the challenge of China's emergence as a military superpower that is taking large portions of America‚s industrial base."

"Along with these issues of national security, border enforcement and protecting the U.S. industrial base, I see another quality of Mike Huckabee's candidacy that compels my endorsement. Mike Huckabee is a man of outstanding character and integrity. I saw that character over the last year of campaigning and was greatly impressed. The other Republican candidates have many strengths and I wish them all well. My personal choice is Mike Huckabee," Hunter concluded.

I love animals too but I want to focus on who is going to put in judges who will stop the baby killing.

“That’s not a bill, it’s a rant.”

No it’s a bill, go look at the thomas.gov site. What you posted was a rant. BTW I didn’t catch all that at the debate.

You seem to know what he thinks and means when he says other things. Using your twisting words: I can see that you ‘meant it’ to mean that you really didn’t know what he was saying but what he said was ‘Ironically true’ but despite being ‘Ironically true’ he ‘implied’ what you believed to hear was wrong.

>>"I’d rather have IBS and explosive diarrhea than vote for the top tier now"<<<

I think we all have that feeling. Perhaps we should start taking Imodium-ID right now. I'm going to need some anti-nausea meds, too, I'm afraid......

I used to be a Thompson supporter.

I liked Hunter for what seemed to be his strong positions, just never thought anyone would ever vote for someone who was just a congressman and could never crack 1% in the polls.

But I sure respected and liked him.

I can't believe he just endorsed the Huckster.

“So now I*m reminded that I*ve lately seen posts about Romney driving l00 miles or so with his dog strapped to the top of his SUV. I don*t know whether to believe this. If he was going slow, but l00 miles, slow?”

He had the dog in a protected container on top of his car. Who in the heck cares? I think it was a pretty clever idea. Wasn’t for a long distance. The dog was protected. For heaven sakes. They try to make a big thing out of an infinitely small thing. When they got where they were going, the dog jumped out of the container and life continued for all of them. Bet the dog got a doggy biscuit for his “trauma”. Was watching a youtube of Mitt and his family at a home picnic and the dog was eating scraps from the table that the kids dropped, and was wagging his tail with contentment. But from some of the comments that had been made at the time the “incident” hit the news, you would have thought they murdered their dog. I’m sure the PETA people got off on it.

Nor can I. And he won’t be getting my vote, that’s for sure.

There has to be a reason. Duncan Hunter wasn’t carrying enough of a % to help him esp now that maybe 95% of his base is mad. Why just not support anyone?

Concerning the dogs: while that is of interest (because it *can* speak to someone’s character*) it is not a national security issue.

I’m more concerned about other things, such as positions on: the Constitution, America’s sovereignty, the Bill of Rights, the borders, abortion, the globalists, freetraitorism, the NAU, to name a few.

“I was more of a Duncan Hunter fan before I read this.

I guess it was a good thing he dropped out - our Presidents need better judgment than this.”

Who would you have preferred Hunter endorse?

Romney=Bain Capital selling a company involved in National Security being sold to the communist Chinese government, anti-second amendment=NO.

McCain=restricting free speech through his CFR, anti-second amendment, pro-illegal aliens=NO.

Paul=believes what Osama Bin Laden said about USA - week on National Defense during a time of war=NO.

Guiliani=anti-life, anti-2nd amendment, pro-illegal immigration=NO.

Who is left?
