Give Hillary some thought. If she changes her party affiliation she’ll find a following on the right. Every other democrat hiding behind the skirt of conservatism has.
That is not a bad idea.
Hillary and McCain on most every issue are carbon copies of each other and will screw things up so badly that they will without a doubt be one term presidents, leaving a big opening for a conservative, just like in 1980.
Republicans, in the long run would be better off supporting Hillary than McCain.
