Carl Cameron says it'll become offical sometime later this week.

Oh well, we're doomed. Let's hope it'll be minimal damage until 2012.

You’re saying he got no votes?

“Romney got 22,000 in NV hardly huge numbewrs...”

Compared to what the Dems got - about twice, it is considering it was a caucus.

“Then there’s nobody I can support with a vote.”

I agree...

“I’ll either write in Hunter or Thompson.”

Yup...

Nope. Perot took from both Parties not just the Pubs so it was a wash. He took me from the Donks, for example.

Read my lips: 41 never had a chance.

He was valedictorian of his undergraduate school. That means he was top of the class.

So was my brother. And received a doctorate with greater distinctions. But my brother isn't a narcissist or a liar and probably would make a better president.

As do I, only victoriously so, not by running away.

We've been there for six years. How much longer do you want to stay there?

Most of the objectives have been met. Thousands of terrorists are taking dirt naps, and Iraq and Afghanistan are sovereign nations now.

It looks more like Rommy could get it. He’s got the most deligates.

I am boycotting Fox News ... done with them.

Yep, I think the timing was off for Fred. Fred is a fine man, and I wish him the best. I’m sure Fred will be fine, as he wasn’t in it for the sake of power or ambition, and has a life beyond all this. It’s our nation I’m worried about.

Thompson. Fred Thompson.

Try to keep up...it’s right there in the thread title.

Actually, what it says is that it probably was a conversion of convenience.

Those are the facts, though.

Pick your own poison. Like Dylan said, “You’re gonna have to serve somebody. It may be the Devil, or it may be the Lord, but you’re gonna have to serve somebody.”

John carried water for real traitor Kerry in 2004. Even did a VP dance for a few weeks. Enough for me. Bob

“in the context of what is his image and what is very likely, or certainly true. Uber competence”

LOL

Satire...right ????

Romney’s so called “image” will do no good when he had to confront our enemies...Guts and fortitude would be required..

“Uber competence” in what ??? to be Commander-in-Chief..hardly

A pretty face and great school grades are not going to be enough to scare IwannaJihad...

Dude, Hunter got like 4 votes in SC (/s)...it’s over for him.

Right now, it’s McCain and Mitt, Huck’s out of bucks, and unless Paul can perform the largest political upset in the history of the US, he ain’t winnin’ the Nomination.

Rudy used the most bizarre strategy in modern campaigning, so unless he can import some of those NYC “magic” ballot boxes, we are down to two candidates.

I still cannot believe that Fred did not do better...I’m shocked..seriously...

We knew it was coming.

Good luck to Fred in all his future endeavors. It is our loss.

I saw it and was proud of W. I still support him and stand behind him. While eyes and cameras are turned to primary, Bush is getting things done!!!!

I don’t know what to say to you, Fred’s candidacy was about Fred the candidate. If you were pinning your hopes on him to “save the country”, then I don’t think you’re seeing Fred the candidate in reality, but some idealized savior version of Fred in your own mind.

I had high hopes for him, but he did not turn out to be a great campaigner that was needed to win. And if he couldn’t run a good campaign in the Republican primary, I doubt he could have ran one in the general election either. That’s what primaries are, a qualifying round that weeds out the flawed candidates. Unfortunately, Fred was a flawed candidate despite being right on most issues.

I don’t believe either one of us is probably going to be holding our breath for that. Good idea, though.

I don’t expect it to happen.

All Fred accomplished was to ruin the chances of a Duncan Hunter

Yeah, that's it...all Fred really wanted was Hunter's 1%, ROTFLMAO. Good grief, give it a rest already, there wasn't any conspiracy against Hunter. The hard truth is that Hunter had no name recognition. As for Thompson's intentions, he was drafted by the public and would probably have stayed in if it wasn't for his mother's illness.

Romney is clearly the optimal choice at this point.
