Carl Cameron says it'll become offical sometime later this week.

Oh well, we're doomed. Let's hope it'll be minimal damage until 2012.

No, but it may have been something on there that I saw before....what show was it?

I am not one to believe in end of the world stuff, but I do have to admit, the 2012 coincidence that pops up all the time is a bit....”interesting.”

Still, I doubt it will truly be the end, but if it is true, it may be a big change of some sort.

I see you are playing a Thompson supporter today, must have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night? How long until you go back to the Paul supporter performance art?

I have read so much voting for Hillary crap that it has caused me to do a wee bit of thinking.

Part of the problem with all the hyphenated conservatives running around, is that if it were printed out in Times New Roman, and scattered one sheet at a time sans headers, most would not recognize a page out of the Constitution if it landed in their lap.

Now the reason things have reached this point pretty much follows the 'cooking frogs' model where the heat is turned up gradually so none of the frogs realizes they are being cooked while they can still jump out.

Well, that is what is happening to conservatism.

It is almost enough to make me think that the only way this is going to get turned around is for someone on the other side to get megalomanical and overreach, causing a backlash.

For that to happen, though, there has to be enough freedom left for people to notice they are losing it.

So maybe just going out and voting for Hillary would be best for what is left of the country when the smoke clears.

Not that I am going to vote for her, but that is what I think of your tired canard. Kindly spare us the elementary school level emotional guilt trip manipulation crap.

Now THAT I can dance over. I’m already glad that he’s tanking. Unfortunately, there still isn’t much of a choice anyways.

...read it again, but it sounded like you think Romney, etc would do more damage than Hillary.

If I’m reading it wrong I apologize, but sure sounded that way.

That was pretty profound.

What YOU are saying is that your principals are available to the highest bidder? Let me see, If your candidate, whom you think best represents your thoughts, decides to drop out...then you pick DOOR NUMBER 2...WOW sounds like you’re a “man of conviction”

Please enlighten me...how am I going to “harm the party “ or “the country” by holding to my principals.

If you mean that I should be a sheeple and follow the party blindly because of “loyalty,” where’s the loyalty to conservative principals.

This is an election. The conservative candidates that I support have lost. I feel no obligation to support financially or with my vote someone I consider a liberal.

When the party wants to get back to its core beliefs OR if a third party emerges that reflects my ideology, then I will support THEM.

You may drink the party kool-aid if you must, I choose to not too.

Sorry, but as the old saying goes, if you don’t understand the premise, don’t blame the reader, blame the author.

Fred is out. I’m moving on to the next most conservative candidate. Politics is about compromise, not about getting everything you want.

Truth searched and found! On this topic, that is the pithiest, most reasonable, most logical, and most truthful statement that has ever been posted on this board. Thank you!

With your permission I have a new tagline...

We should draft the winner of that there poll. The only candidate who can appeal to the broad coalition is a staunch social conservative.

No, most here understood the premise. They just thought a lesser conservative, who had celebrity was a better option.

Now that does not seem so smart.

Compromise on the big issues is what destroyed the republican party.

It’s one thing to compromise when your back is against the wall but the Republicans have been acting like moderate democrats on their on free will for quite a long time and your attitude serves as an enabling force.

Nice show of maturity with the name calling. I happen to not be on a “emotional guilt manipulation crap” bent, but I do feel strongly that for people that sit out an election and do not vote deserve what they get...in this case, Hillary or Obama - socialism.

We can have civilized disagreements without the petty stuff.
