The more I think about the McCain win, the less impressive it was.
There was over 2/3rds of the total vote split between Huck, Romney and Fred, etc.
That means 2/3rds of those that rejected McCain would have to change a whole lot of their way of thinking to back McCain.
Ain’t gonna happen.
Or they could be voting for McCain because they see him as the most beatable in November. Why take that chance, let's get rid of him now starting in Florida.
I understand and agree with your frustration about McPainintheass, but I wouldn't go vote for the dem because of it. I'll sit out this election as millions of conservatives will join me, because the hammer has to come down at some point to rid ourselves of these useless rino's.
...And again, those of you who think any repub is better than any dem are living the definition of insanity. Doing the same old friggin' thing, and expecting different results.
Or that they know that Obama has the vote locked up in SC, so they want to influence the GOP.
In case you haven't noticed, people often re-elect those who do them wrong. It's no indication of anything positive for the electorate.
Besides, the Senate is a body where the incentive is for an individual state to send back an incumbent so the state will have more power in the upper house. However, the presidency has no incentive for any individual voter.
OK, one more time.
PRESIDENT Bush will not pull troops, Oprah’s Kid will not pull troops, nor will Bill Clinton’s wife.
I just don’t want to revisit the 90s and fleetwood mac again.
It seems like the RNC is ineffective with the guy Bush named to head it. Remember in 2000 all the letters they would send out and grassroots work that was done?
That picture is like a Rorschach print. I associate it with the words “bitter old shrew” for some reason.

Maybe. Right now I’m speaking out of anger and frustration.

I agree with that totally, which is part of why I won’t vote for McCain. His record is atrocious. Not to mention him running with kerry in 04.
Just because some on is an R does not mean they deserve votes.
No he kept getting elected because no one runs against him and until now Arizona has been a Republican state.
I will vote against Hillary no matter what in NOV.
When you say "securing the border", do you mean like the way George W. Bush has done a such wonderful job in securing the border as part of his War on Terror?
Here is what McCain has to say about securing the border:
*********
"I will secure the border and I would have the border state governors certify that their border are secure," he said, "Then, we would move onto other issues," such as what to do about those illegal immigrants already in the country.
He hasn't exactly renounced the bill he championed in the spring, but he has fine-tuned his position and changed the emphasis to assure the skeptics and critics and there are many that dealing with the fate of those already in the country only occurs AFTER the borders are secured.
*********
You say that you want the border secured and here is a candidate whose position is: "Let's secure the border FIRST and then bicker about everything else AFTER THE BORDERS ARE SECURE".
Isn't that the exact position that you say you want?
Very well said.
I respect the man McCain once was, not what he has become.
Illegal immigration is the second most important concern, yet they vote for McCain? OK.
No, I won't, because we Republicans might still have SOME influence over a Republican president. We'll have NONE over a Democrat.
Yeah, folks in the "Oh my God, the Republican Party is dead" mode seem to have forgotten that. Also, at this point, it is Romney who leads in the delegate count, NOT McCain.
What was the matter with Clarence Thomas? Am I missing something? He was put in by Bush1, (no thanks to the liberals in congress and senate), wasn’t he? He was a conservative, wasn’t he?
My perception is that Rush is against Huckabee and McCain. That would leave Romney, Thompson, or Giuliani.
