In the stuffy world of politics, the Ron Paul campaign has earned the reputation of being something like a raucous, freedom-loving party. A raucous, freedom-loving party with lots of paranoid bigots. So it would probably be more surprising if the band reportedly headlining RonPaulapalooza didn't have a few teeny-tiny problems with the Jews, who they feel are trying to destroy everybody. The band Poker Face enjoys churning out a hard-chargin' "freedom rock" that they developed under the influence of Boston, the Beatles, and Frank Zappa, as well as a firm conviction that the Holocaust did not happen and that the Jews are in fact the lead agents of a "Satanic World Order."
And according to a notice sent out by RonPaulaplooza organizers, you can get yourself a taste when Poker Face (along with some "lesser-known bands") rocks the big event, now tentatively scheduled for the Fourth of July holiday weekend in Morehead, Kentucky. As of post time, organizers had not responded to Radar's anxious inquiries about the possible co-appearance of a sassy little slice of pizza known to sling some fairly dope rhymes about the Ron Paul revolution.
That's paranoia. In fact, one thing I've noticed on FR is that to a Ron Paul supporter, criticizing Paul means one is a RINO or full-blown lib, but you never see any Freepers saying "You support Ron Paul, so you must be a Nazi."
“Paul has a lot of support from Main Street America. You and the GOP ignore these new and previously apathetic voters at your own peril.”
There are too many “blind” Conservatives to see that Ron Paul “could” give his endorsement to another candidate instead of running third party.
Conservatives cutting off nose to spite face.
You are a genius. You could have the other candidates read Paul and his supporters out, simple as that. Campaign on it, I’m sure some wealthy supporters would help you gain influence with the other candidates and then they could take to calling Paul out as an anti-semite and tell the other couple of anti-semites to take a hike.
You should calm down and read some of the things you posted. There are many contradictions.
“And are you really supporting a guy for leader of the Free World who couldn’t manage a newsletter properly?”
You are supporting Fred THompson, the guy who liked Aristide so much he represented him for free - several weeks after Aristide told his followers to put gas soaked car tires on their opponents heads and light them on fire... and then went on about how nice it smelled?
Fred, when asked by Boston.com, said he “didn’t recall” the content of his conversation with John Sununu in his defense of the marxist thug and killer Aristide.
Just what we need! Another President who represents Marxist thugs then equivocates about it.
Hey, he’s your guy, stop dodging it.
“You should calm down and read some of the things you posted. There are many contradictions.”
You have yet to point a single one out - instead you try to impugn my name with your baseless charge.
Under the bridge with ya!
"You know when you tell me that the Bible was invented by someone...and it never happened, that is like telling me that I am not real, because you are speaking about my family. Because that book is a history of my family. My name, Peretz, was chosen in honor of one of those relatives. You see, the Jewish people, whether they understand it or not, are living proof that they are not myths but real history. And because we are kept alive this very day is in fact proof that God exists because, if it weren't for his intervention, we wouldn't be here. And that is a reason to praise his name."
I study the Torah. And when a person tells me that the Torah is a book written by some man, I tell him, "When explored, the Torah is an operating system that has overtures to genetics, music and metaphysics."
To understand what you really have in your hands when you hold the Torah inspires awe. The author is divine.
I don't know what happened with the booking, but the first band they wanted probably isn't anti-Jewish.
That 'monster' was busy delivering babies.
He has admitted that he should have been more diligent in his oversight of the newsletters.
What President hasn't been let down by those they have trusted?
But from I read of the articles, they weren't so much racist as simply not PC.
Read alot of Rothbard?
There are valid criticisms of Paul, such as his foreign policy and monetary policy that I have reservations on. I have never called anyone a RINO for pointing out these two issues.
It's when FReepers resort to liberal media tactics on Paul, dredging up the smears, calling him names, and whining about the possibility of seeing the IRS and big government going bye-bye (Yes, I've seen posts of FReepers wringing their hands about where the government is going to get its revenues from if the IRS was abolished) is when I start questioning the Paul critics' sanity.
Anywho, you've been persistent in going after Paul. Paul hasn't placed above 5th place in the primaries and it's highly unlikely he'll win the GOP nomination. And if he goes 3rd party, leftists and troofers are going to support him anyway, according to you guys. So why worry about him?
Normally I agree with that (I love it when people make some outrageous claim and then tell me I'm "giving them homework" when I ask for a cite) but there are three big problems with your assertion:
1. If we apply your standard, every post on FR from a news outlet would have to be backed up by a second confirmation document. For example, if someone posted a thread about the number of Iraqis killed in a car bombing, they would have to produce death certificates. If someone posted the Radar story about Huckabee's rally with Chuck Norris and Rick Flair, they would have to post a video link to the entire rally. Same thing if the NYT, Fox News or Human Events did a similar story.
2. I am not the asserter, Radar is, and I have already agreed to broadcast it if they are not being truthful.
3. Now you're asserting that Radar cooks up false stories...don't you need an original docuument for that, like a memo from a Radar editor to a reporter saying "Get Ron Paul"?
According to Andrew Sullivan, Fred is a bisexual.

How long do you think that article would last in Front Page News?
It’s just as unsourced as yours.
I’m just sayin’.
I wouldn't know, I've only seen x-rays of my lungs and left ankle.
What he's said-when pressed, as he was in the Reason interview-is that he rejects the ridiculous conspiracy theories they espouse.
He didn't return the balance of the contribution his campaign received from Alex Jones, but only the portion Jones supposedly overpaid.
He still hasn't given a satisfactory explanation of what's preventing him from returning the contribution made by SF founder Don Black.
You can say his campaign isn't directly involved in this proposed fundraiser, but that only raises the question, "who runs his campaign?"
If you can't control the content of a newsletter, or something as manageable as a presidential campaign with virtually no paid staff, how do you expect us to trust you with a large, federal bureaucracy?
Is he going to have to address-or as is his wont, not address and dissimulate about-Guy Fawkes re-election fundraisers as POTUS?
As the Run Paul supporters will tell you, this isn’t an official campaign event...but it does say something about the organizers.

The official website for the concert doesn’t list any bands.
There is one blog post on another site not linked to in the article that says they don’t have money for the picnic grounds deposit. So it won’t even happen most likely.
Radar said they received a notice. It’s not too much to ask them to produce the notice!
Another red herring by you. I’m not asking for lots of sources - just the one the Radar claimed they got.
Who sent the notice? Where is it? Why don’t they reproduce it? What is their standard for publishing “news?” Very little apparently.
“2. I am not the asserter, Radar is, and I have already agreed to broadcast it if they are not being truthful.”
You asserted that they said they have a notice. Where is it?
“3. Now you’re asserting that Radar cooks up false stories...don’t you need an original docuument for that, like a memo from a Radar editor to a reporter saying “Get Ron Paul”?”
Hello mcfly - they claimed they have a memo or notice. They didn’t publish it. You must still be backing Dan Rather too, eh? Fake but accurate - apparently that’s the Radar’s standard.
“If you can’t control the content of a newsletter, or something as manageable as a presidential campaign with virtually no paid staff, how do you expect us to trust you with a large, federal bureaucracy?”
Will you make the comment about Fred and his lobbying for Aristide the marxist murderer and thug.... Fred liked him so much he pimped for him to John Sununu for free!
It will take some digging, but if you go back far enough, you will find pro-Paul vs. Anti-Paul threads from before the Nazi stuff came out that are very issue oriented. the ain issue in those is the war. And you know what? When we who opppose Paul were talking issues, we were accused of the same sorts of things we are accused of now. I believe I was first accused of working for the Giuliani campaign in one of those threads...
Paul took the money. If you go to bed with dogs you wake up with fleas.
Isn't it though? I had one of the Paulestinians go round and round with me, trying to prove to me that giving Black back his money made him richer. Even when I posted an equation ($500 - $500 + $500 = $500) showing it to not be the case, he said giving Black his money would be like making a donation to Stormfront.
