Did you not say:

Good for you. Stay on home. I find it very ironic that the "big tent" Republican party is full of such small minded people. For me, I will vote Republican this fall regardless of the nominee.

Now who's being the jerk. You may not have asked the question, but your reply certainly was of the same 'jerk' mode you accuse me of.

BTW, if you call staying true to your principles small minded, then you are lost.

Vote for Huck?? Thank you for proving that the MSM stillrules and most Republican are braindead morons!!!!!

How friggin stupid can people be. HUCKABEE?????

Fred isn't the one who is dead, THE REPUBLICAN PARTY IS DEAD!!!!!.

Apparently the Republican party is full of dummasses who will vote for JIMMY CARTER III to Stop JIMMY CARTER JR.

IF McCain and Huck are the face of the Republican party, then I want nothing to do with that party or the ignorant people who would vote for them

Huck will not be the nominee. If it's not Fred, it will be McCain or Romney. Romney is the most likely nominee now anyway.

If by some chance, the nominee would be Huckabee, the Republican party would go down to the worst defeat in its history. The Democrats would absolutely wipe the floor with him.

GO FRED!

These things happen sometimes, to the best of us. Rintense was right that she was responding to a question that was asked, how would we feel about a McCain-Thompson ticket? But it was not2worry who asked the question. Unfortunate mix-up.

There are a LOT of reasons not to vote for McCain. In another couple of weeks, he’ll follow his usual pattern and say something really stupid to tick off the conservatives and please the libs...it’s amazing ANYONE will vote for him anymore.

If it ain’t Fred, I would go for a Romney/Thompson ticket. Romney is energetic and telegenic and electable, I’ll give him that. And Fred could be the “wise head” who helps keep Mitt closer to the conservative cause.

i have come to the same conclusion this past week. i want fred to take off, but should he not quite make it, i can deal with Romney. NONE of the rest are palatable.

My whole point in the original post was you don’t pick up your toys and go home when you don’t get everything you want. Is it worth it to see HRC or Obama become President because the Republican nominee only only “right” on 70% of the issues?

The only Republican I would not, could not, vote for is Rudy the pro-abort. (I’m not counting RoPaul.) If it came down to McPain or the Huckster vs. a Dem, I would hold my nose and vote R.

Let’s hope the RINO stampede (Huckabee, McCain, Romney) doesn’t end the Reagan era today in SC (that is basically what the stakes are).!

GO FRED GO.

Vote for Huckabee. He will boldly defend the Confederate Flag.

Fred has been silent on this?

But would a ticket THOMSON/HUCKABEE be possible?
Is this only possible?
It could maybe gather conservatives and christians beyond the GOP destabilizing the dems...

I don’t believe that labelling all these candidates “RINOS” is constructive.

And I don't believe that the positions that the RINOS have taken are all that constructive either. Let's call it a draw.

Love your tagline!

Did you hear Rush yesterday? That parody song he played, with the “voice of McCain” singing the oldie “If you don’t know me by now, you will never, never, never know me”...with appropriate lyrics pointing out just where McCain has been standing all these years - especially since he lost to Bush in 2000. It was so telling, so true.

It does appear that some folks will never “get it” about who McCain is, although he has repeatedly shown them. A lot of them probably admire his POW history and willfully, will refuse to get it.

I honestly cannot explain the McCain phenomenon = GOP debacle thing any other way.

What’s the point of voting for one socialist to stop another? Huck may have had a (pardon the expression) ‘come to Jesus’ moment on immigration and now be better than McCain on that issue, but besides his tax-and-spend propensity (which may even exceed McCain’s—I mean McCain only opposed tax cuts, Huckabee championed tax increases), he’s also clueless about foreign policy, which is not one of McCain’s manifold faults.

Go Fred! (In you heart you know he’s right.)
