Don’t forget the smell ...
Thinking about it is almost enough to make me hurl.
Oh that's sad. I'm in Mpls. also. It's a cold one today. And I am very tired of the gray weather!
I’m tired of pink people who hate pink people.
Just goes to show, though, we are all people of color.
they don’t make a big enough can of lysol spray to cover that stench up.
Do NOT google that lady’s name with SafeSearch turned off at work .... not a good idea at all.
My nick is misleading. I lived in Mpls. for 20 years, now I’m 35 miles west of the city.
We lived off East Lake forever and a day. Ticks me off they now have the Town Talk Diner. It was only pancakes when I left in 2000. Oh well....
I am so tired of pink men whose wives double or triple the family income thinking they can spend it without doing a damn thing at home. I am so tired of pink men spouting nonsense on TV. I am so tired of pink men arguing, blathering, bloviating, predicting the future--usually wrongly...
I am so tired of pink womyn thinking they're entitled to be pampered so they don't have to work and so they can post on HuffPo.
I am so tired of pink women whining.
--and telling women to shut up...
It's early to say this is actually a trend, but there are signs all over the place. Websites for "modest clothing" are expanding, and Wendy Shalit, who earlier wrote about "A Return to Modesty," has a new book called "Girls Gone Mild: Young Women Reclaim Self-Respect and Find It's Not Bad to Be Good." She illustrates the point with an interview with the daughter of Erica Jong, whose book "Fear of Flying" practically launched the sexual revolution. Jong glamorized promiscuity as random guilt-free sex with strangers.
"When you're 12," says Molly Jong Fast, "there's nothing funny about your mother's fourth wedding." Molly describes her own promiscuity as a mistake. "I was sold a bad bill of goods." Molly is married and signs her e-mails "mother of Max," making sure you understand that she's first a mother. So do a lot of other young moms.
From an article about The New Victorians http://www.townhall.com/columnists/SuzanneFields/2007/07/23/the_new_victorians
Hang a suet bar on a tree in your backyard. Downy woodpeckers are winter birds, if they liked the warm, they would migrate. But they do love the suet bars.
Umm...she can't even get this right.
Everyone knows that men are supposed to change light bulbs and take out the trash! :)
Reply of the day, in a post with many good replies.
By the way, the Florida Keys offer a chance to get away from the "Pink" man syndrome. Take those sales bonuses that seem to fall "unfairly" to white guys and come down, oh say once a month to be sure, for fishing, golf, tennis, diving and other manly activities. A great tan is the best revenge.
LOL. Uptown has some good spots.
I don't live in Mpls either. I'm in an eastern suburb, but I use Minneapolis for identification. Most people are familiar with that city.
My comment wasn’t anti-woman.
My comment was oriented towards the fact that Blanco is the *type* of woman that Erica Jong wants to see in office.
I thought this aricle has going to be about all the stupid pink packaging “for the cure” invading the supermarket shelves. It’s even on salt and vanilla extract. And yeast, fer gawdssake! Good thing I am stocked up on all of those things. The innocent color pink has been hijacked just like the rainbow. The pink stink is worse than last year’s fad - Rachael Ray’s mug on all of the cracker boxes. What will “they” assault us with next?
New tagline.
Thx!
LOL. Great point.
Good cause and all that, but those pink appliances are vomit-inducing. Who wants a pink fridge or a pink dishwasher?
It's a good thing they don't make pink cars. Oh wait, the Mary Kay cars.
Well, some of us girls do. But if we’re married we can’t really have as many pink girly things as we’d like. It’s all about compromise and muted off white colors. But if I had my way.....and I was single....it would probably be a different story.
Pink is rather tiring
I thought they would be asking if I was sick of Code Pink, which that answer would he a
H*ll Yes!
