Thompson disagrees with his good friend John McCain.

SMACKDOWN!

[confirmed: Fred is in cahoots with McCain]

Paul is wrong. It isn’t free medical and free education....

The TAXPAYERS pay it.

Yes, it is free for the illegals, but someone pays — the taxpayers do.

Debate over, and Thompson barely uttered a word against SC frontrunner McCain.

There is a McCain-Thompson corrupt bargain.

Luntz groups overwhelmingly agrees that Fred Thompson won the debate! He knew his facts... several people said. Some say too flippant. Others disagree... Lady says some say Fred is passive, but went after Huckabee. he stepped up to bat...

Ron Paul the overwhelming loser.

Kudos to FoxNews and the Candidates. That was the best primary debate I have EVER seen. Extremely substantive, incredibly entertaining and revealing. A+++ on all counts. Fred took it all, but Romney also did himself proud.

How could anyone watch the force of facts and leadership on display in this group of men and even CONSIDER voting for Obama, Clinton or Edwards is totally beyond me. These men live in the REAL WORLD. Democrat debates inhabit a fantasy world of socialist dreams and vague soundbites such as "change" that signify NOTHING.

This debate made me so PROUD to be a REPUBLICAN!

Frank Luntz’s focus group is the kiss of death. Not a good sign for Thompson. Its too bad because Fred did pretty good.

Way to go Fred! I'm certainly glad that the republican candidates do not get to answer questions about their hair, or do they prefer diamonds over pearls, that sort of stuff, and how do they do it with all that pressure coming from Brit Hume.

I'm also glad that no one in the audience came in with a sign shouting for one of these men to repair their iron.

Next time Hillary debates, someone should bring a box of tissues to offer just in case she has a calculated need to tear up.

I sure didn't see any of the republicans tear up today/

I’m just watching off the Tivo now...

Damn, its a shame Ron Paul is nuts.

Nobody else is so clear and direct about limited government, no entitlements, focusing on the economy, stopping the borrowing from the Chinese and reversing the erosion of personal liberties.

Its a damn shame he wants to cut and run in Iraq and do away with the Federal reserve and paper money.

Best debate so far by miles and miles. Really impressed by Thompson in particular.

The truth is they all had some good answers, even Ron Paul when he tossed the 9/11 Truthers under the bus....(chuckle)

Of course, the fact he had to do so speaks volumes about who he’s been clinging to up to this point....
