Verklaring's was a good "clarification" (as his/her name suggests):

[all Christians should be] "be subject to one another in the fear of Christ" and...
"the wives ought to be to their husbands, as the church is subject to Christ, in everything"
...and, of course, the Bible is consistent.
What is it about "everything" that stiffens your neck, or in what things would Christ be subject to the Church, would you prefer?

Huckabee is just going PC, as liberals are wont to do.

when in my opinion, the most important election in my lifetime is going on with the wrong people.

You know what they say about opinions. Aside from WHINING on an internet forum where no one really cares what you think, what are you going to actually do about it?

WHHHHAAAAAAAAATTTTTTT ???????????

I think you reading too much in my comment that really wasnt there...

The question was put to Huck to entrap him into an answer that could be spun as the “enslavement” of women...

He sidestepped it and used a scripture that meant much the same but went both ways between men and women...

I dont know where you mormons get your strange ideas...

Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God...Ephesians 5:21 ...has nothing to do with Jesus but everything to do with the Body of Christ, the believers, and how we should interact with one another..

The MSM dont read the Bible and dont know what is in it, and Huck knew that...when the questioner asked whether wives should submit to their husbands, the idea that the submission should be when he required her to do only Godly things was not part of it...

Wives, submit ytourselves unto your own husbands, AS UNTO THE LORD Ephesians 5:22 does not suggest that women must obey a husband who orders them to get drunk or to prostitute herself, or work to support him while he stays home with the TV, etc for Jesus would never command her to do so...but the pundits claim this is what Christian men are requiring of their wives...enslavement to his desires, and not the freedom and protection that God intended...

There was no easy way to answer such an unfair question, and I doubt you could have done it in that short of time without further criticism...you are not quick on your feet when it comes to the Bible..

I dont intend to vote for Huck, but I’ll back up any Christian who is so challenged and pray that God will provide a way of escape...Huck did fine..

No "relationship" with 1 billion people on earth. Not even possible. Sovereign funds in Middle East are investing directly in our banks like Citiabk. The current administration wanted to turn control of our ports to DUBAI Ports World a company from the UAE, we have allies through the muslim world, like Saudia Arabia & Turkey!!!

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT????

I got the “all y’all” down really quickly, but my husband says my “Bless her heart” is still lacking. :)

Bless your heart, you have to just not think about it. Let it slip out like a punctuation or expletive.

"How are you with I'm fixin' to do it" or "Can you carry me down to the store?"

Maybe if people like THOMPSON put as much effort into promoting it in the Senate as THompson spent promoting the unconstitutional Campaign Finance Reform, it would have made a diffference.

Apparently, neither Thompson, nor McCain, wasted a sneeze on it.

Such hyperbolic ignorance on your part!

I cite scripture and you all but claim I've just told your husband to prostitute you or get you drunk! Your squealing argument is apparently not with me but Scripture itself and perhaps its Author.

I suppose I should take your intended slur of calling me a mormon in context of the rest of your ignorant rant, but kazam! You're wrong about that, too, as I'm in no way mormon.

Trim your wick and get ready.

I am somewhat confused as to what you are asking but will try to clarify my original post to RTO.

Original post to what RTO posted:

If you truly believe that the Western world will ever have a “relationship” with Islam, then you are living in a Utopian fantasy.

My comment to RTO about this statement was as follows:

Excellent observation.

I also made another comment concerning Fred Thompson's Most Excellent Adventure during the debate:

My comment to RTO on Fred Thompson

Did anyone notice that Fred Thompson was the only candidate that seem to knock the Muslims with his 72 virgins remark.

As to your comment about Dubai Ports World, Saudi Arabia and Turkey and the Middle East investing directly in our banks.

I realize that many did not see Dubai as a risk but since the deal didn’t go down many stories have come out about Dubai double dealing so to speak the United States.

They did this even though US officials asked them not to, by shipping forbidden Nuclear parts and machinery to countries that ship indirectly to Iran.

As for investing into our banking system.

I find it offensive that we have foreigners gaining control over Americas financial interest.

If the Saudis are really our true friends then why are they financing fanatical Madrassas, and many of the terrorists who would like nothing better than to cut your and your families throats.

I have to think long and hard about who I consider my friends and Saudi Arabia does not act like a real friend.

Just the lowly opinion of a red state wannabe.

LOL

WOW you do refuse to really read what I have written make up your own words...

I dont know what your problem is but I never said what you just accused me of...

I never said you said anything..I merely pointed out the obvious...these scriptures have been used to abuse women..if you dont know that then you have not been in the Christian Church for long...

Many abusers of women go to church and claim to be Christians..they go to church in order to control the woman’s movements and not because they love God and they play a good Christian because they learn enough to get by as long as nobody takes a long hard look at them...yes there are some in your church also..

If they know those scriptures they will use them against their Christian wives...and then claim she is not obeying them if she refuses to do something unGodly...

You must live in a protected environment if you dont know that that has been going on for generations...The misuse of the Bible in order to control people is an abomination to God but it still goes on...

Bible scripture was used as an excuse to enslave black men and women ....some still refer to them as the children of Cain...that their black skin was punishment..

Men have an awesome responsibility to take care they dont expect their wves to submit to something unBiblical...each man has his own free will and God wont stop him from ordering his wife to do something she would not dream of doing...

That’s why God says it must be as though she is doing it unto the Lord and for the Lord...that right there is an instruction to the husband “dont ask her to do something that I, the Lord, would not ask”

That’s where prayer and spending time with God is so important ...a man is responsibile to God for what he instructs his wife and children to do...so he better be correct in his instructions...its not a free ride for the husband he stands to blame for the actions of his children and for what he tells his wife to do...

he is not responsibible if she does something unGodly...thats her own fault, but he is responsible for misusing the Holy Word of God demanding that she do it ...If you want to be a Christian husband, you are accountable to God for your wife and family...

Yes you would be the high priest and the head of your house and the covering over your wife...but you are commanded by God to love your wife...and you are answerable to God for any problems...

And God does not take that lightly...remember a husband is to treat his wife as Jesus treats His wife, the church...as part of the Bride of Christ, how would you like it if Jesus was to abuse you and cuss you out ??????
