Republican Presidential Candidate Debate #15 Myrtle Beach, SC 01/10/08 - Official Discussion Thread
Watch the Republican presidential primary candidates debate in Myrtle Beach, S.C., live on FOX News Channel and FOXNews.com at 9 p.m. ET.
Here is a URL to South Carolina’s Election Law..

I’m not sure what Rush meant by ‘open primary’...let me look that up, if i can find a proper SC Primary vote link..I found one yesterday but i just missed being able to find it in my daily history by 1 minute when the clock turned to 12:01AM...let me check on primary voting in SC now..
I don't know where you are from but I am guessing it "ain't from around here" (meaning the South)
McCain is toast down here, the 25% he is getting in the polls in SC is his HIGH WATER mark. That is the highest he will get anywhere - SC, Ala, Ga, Miss, NC, Tenn, La, TX.
He IS NOT A THREAT to Fred down here, and DOWN HERE is where Fred's strategy is. Fred doesn't car about Mich, minn, wisc, ohio yada yada yada.
If Mitt needs McCain taken out up north - he needs to DO IT HIMSELF.
Fred HAS to win the South, and to do that he has to TAKE OUT HUCKABEE!
That is Fred's priority - take out Huckabee and Fred sweeps the South and is in position to win the nomination.
While I may have misunderstood his answer, I'd swear he said that the other part of the statement was that husbands needed to submit themselves to their wives.
Well said!
Catchy, and maybe in the works...
We don't? Why not? Please elaborate.
Yeah, I think you’re right. I think there were a couple of Midwesterners in there, too.
you’re as looney as he is if you think that.
Does the Bible passage also say the husband submits to his wife? According to Huckabee, yes.
Did he say that?
If he did he flunked Bible 101 and should not be a pastor in any church. The only reference is a general one of believers in the church receiving admonition from one another. In the context of marriage the Bible is clear consistent : Wives submit.
_______________________________________________________
No, Huck used the right scripture ....I was actually proud of his answer....
Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of the Lord.... Ephesians 5:21
Huck is a Christian husband, not a mormon or a muslim....
Agree..
McCain’s internals in the South Carolina Rasmussen poll are very weak.
Huckabee is the main opponent of Fred. Fred’s gotta beat Huckabee in Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Kentucky, Virginia..
He did say that Husbands should also submit which is close but not quite what the Bible says. It says something to the effect of Husbands should love their wives like Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. I think Huckabee simply translated giving himself up for her as submitting - its not perfect theology but I wouldn’t nock him too much for it in an on the spot 90 second answer.
I am posting several Email address for the media and would like FReepers to correct the ones that are wrong or out of date.
Thanks Okiedoc

Short memories?
Obviously so - I really don't remember him doing that. I don't listen to him all that regularly though.
“and after tonight he might just make Road Kill magazines”
LOL
It was an amazing moment in my debate watching history. Time to get out the checkbook again. (Yes, I’m behind, I tivo’d the debate).
Fred’s OVER his goal for tonight!
The Red Truck has $563,204 - his goal was:
