I think you are right about that.

Fred wasnt all that impressive overall, but he did CHANGE the tone of the debate early on.

People seem to have responded to that.

And he never said “change” L0l

Kudos to FoxNews and the Candidates. That was the best primary debate I have EVER seen. Extremely substantive, incredibly entertaining and revealing. A+++ on all counts. Fred took it all, but Romney also did himself proud.

How could anyone watch the force of facts and leadership on display in this group of men and even CONSIDER voting for Obama, Clinton or Edwards is totally beyond me. These men live in the REAL WORLD. Democrat debates inhabit a fantasy world of socialist dreams and vague soundbites such as "change" that signify NOTHING.

This debate made me so PROUD to be a REPUBLICAN!

I am not for Huck or Romney, but it is amusing to see Huck taking heat for affirming the New Testament guidelines concerning marriage and giving Romney a pass. Hasn’t anyone read up on what Mormon marriage is all about?

People are straining at a gnat and swallowing a camel.

Good picks!

You need to be in Human Resources.

Who do you think would be good at totally reorganizing and dismantling the culture at the State Dpt.?

Some have tried and failed.

Fred will win SC now. He hit a HR tonight and the rest of the candidates are in deep trouble. The Thompson campaign has said all along that they needed to get SC and then survive until super Tues. This is going to be a tidal wave of momentum. New ball game boys and girls.

There is a McCain-Thompson corrupt bargain.

Back it up with facts.

Paul helped all of them.

Paul does three things in the debates:

1. Yes, he makes everyone else look good (and sane too)....

2. Provides entertainment value and ratings--NOTHING MORE, certainly nothing of substance....

3. Provides mbarrassment for the Republican Party.

He has no business there as he makes you cringe everytime he opens his mouth.

Dang, I was wrong about Luntz’s group. Well, except for the lady who thought Fred was too flip. Fred won big, and I thought the Huckster fumbled around a lot.

[Romney hits it first...is there enough left for Thompson??]

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.

During MR’s “I’ve talked to people, and these are the things they want, that haven’t been done”, I thought I heard him say they want everyone to have health care, Government health care (universal?).

Perhaps I didn’t catch what he said properly.

Anyone catch exactly what he said in that segment of his about health care?

What do you guys think about Ron Paul as VP?

We can get all the nuts and young voters he has on our side. He won’t have any power to make any decisions anyway. lol

“The man is nuttier than a squirrel turd and is too dangerous to be allowed the oval office, my opinion only....and I am willing to be convinced otherwise.”

His answers on the economy and the insanity of our funding and arming opponents - spot on

His answer about how we are paternalist to Israel - spot on

His discussion about how the GOP has gone off the reservation - spot on.

He doesn’t have a melodious voice - so what? We aren’t electing a talk show host.

I think Fred won - but Paul was def #2. He ‘lost’ for the same reason Nixon ‘lost’ vs Jack Kennedy.

I like Thompson (almost as much as Hunter) but Luntz’s focus group picked Romney in NH. Cannot trust them.

Have you stopped to consider the fact that voters might be different, or that the candidates performances vary? You sound like a cheerleader. Also, one focus group might be wildly different than another group.

I agree Thompson won tonight, he finally went on the offense.

Oh Lord I am so relieved to hear that. The last debates Fox pundits treated Luntz’s groups like gold- let’s hope they give Fred some well deserved push.
