I am almost at the same point as you. I am biased on this subject. I count the appointment of Justices to the Supreme Court who will obey, rather than rewrite, the Constitution, as the longest impacting action any President can take.

No, signing an amnesty bill will be the equivalent of signing this nation's death warrant. This will have the longest impact and most important action any President will ever take.

I tend to agree. Amnesty would effect all the other issues we are talking about. The war on terror, spending, life, taxes. If you support a compassionate conservative(Giuliani, Huckabee, MCCAIN), you are welcoming Democrat rule for decades to come because they will have a bloated illegal immigrant electorate.

I do not trust McCain to appoint “constitutional” Justices. Recall that I resigned my membership in the Supreme Court Bar over the Court’s 5-4 approval of the McCain-Feingold campaign finance “reform.”

Ronald Reagan SIGNED/GRANTED amnesty to every illegal when he was president. This is a fact. George Bush never signed an amnesty bill, although he certainly wanted to.

Who is more the RINO, GWB or Reagan, or are they equal RINOs?
