Plan A ... work like heck to ensure the RATs no longer control Congress.
“Rudy announced his tax plan yesterday. Its impressive.
McCain opposed the Bush tax cuts.
McCain wants to close Guantanamo.
Rudy would expand it.
McCain is for a global warming tax.
Yes, I would vote for McCain over any Democrat, but there would be vomit on my ballot.”
Good reminder on how awful McCain is. Romney is still best of the four, but maybe I was wrong to put McCain ahead of Rudy. I just think Rudy’s skeletons in the closet are a bit too much and I cannot abide a prochoice nominee.
It’s tough ... We gotta go with Romney.
Imho, Romney and Guiliani have the best chance of defeating Hillary. McCain and Huckabee are unacceptable.
Has anyone voiced the obvious? John McCain would be three years older than Reagan was if he were to win the nomination. I’m sorry to be so blunt, but he’s too old. Let’s forget the fact that McCain doesn’t give a rat’s a$$ about immigration or free speech - he’s too old.
Take the hit this time around, disown the Republican party and create the Conservative party.
The RNC obviously isn't for conservatism anymore and it is blatantly obvious that the only concern the RNC has is to maintain Republican power at any cost.
Thus conservatism is being shoved off the back burner for good even with the title "the conservative party".
The only difference between the party's anymore is the time taken to destroy conservative values.
Democrat party....now
Republican party....soon.
Amen, EEE. bttt
Here’s what we can all do NOW - roll up our sleeves, put our money where our mouth is, and GET TO WORK for Hunter (or Fred ), whichever you prefer. Make phone calls, send postcards, put up signs, send email links to their websites - help them in every way possible !
I have donated to Hunter’s campaign, put up signs, handed out Hunter promotional materials, and last Saturday afternoon I called sixty NH voters. I will do all I possibly can over the coming months to help Hunter. I feel truly blessed to have a candidate of this calibre to vote for!
Let’s all get to work and do ALL we can to help these two true conservative candidates !!!
It would be bleak. McCain/Huckabee could work
No— McCAin/Huckabee COULDN’T work. You’d work. You’d work your -— off for the illegals to freeload off our system of support.
It's just my humble professional judgment based on 20+ years of military service and training in the operational military arts...but I'm sure you are much better prepared to make those judgments based on your years of military experience and training...right?![]() |
I really wish I spoke up for Romney more on this site. I had no idea a McCain or Huckabee win was even remotely possible.
He isn’t my favorite candidate, but he’s damn sure better than the above two and Giuliani.
Stop it. You’re making the bad thoughts come back.
Romney is not pro-amnesty. Tom Tancredo endorsed him. I trust Tom’s judgment on the issue.
You will not see me vote for a liberal Republican.
Thay said, the Indiana primaries are not until May. We vote, but the candidate is usually decided by the time we go to the polls.
I will vote in the primaries for Duncan or Fred, if they are still around.
I will not stay at home on election day unless Ron Paul is the Republican nominee. I will cast my vote for the Republican.
Our Al Qaeda enemies send you profuse thanks for your willingness to vote for Ron Paul the paleosurrendermonkey and Al Qaeda mouthpiece in time of war, no less.
No more 1992’s...look where that got us. Hillary is the worst of the worst and Ill vote for McCain to stop her heinous. At least he wont stab the troops in the back.
Huckabee argh...I would really be unable to vote for him.
Guliani, too liberal for the party.
“Vote RINO and split our principles.”
As much as I hate this debate, I look at it this way. You have a choice, the Republican nominee or Hillary. You can cut it a million ways, base it on principles, morality, who is the bigger RINO, I don’t care.
Bottom line is those are the choices. If you stay home and don’t vote, you have no right to complain if Hillary wins.
Yeah, this election is going to be painful. I absolutely will not vote for McCain or Paul. I’d likely vote for Giuliani but holding my nose and gnashing my teeth the whole while. I’d vote for Huckabee but wouldn’t be particularly happy about it although Huckabee does get some credit in my book for his 2nd Amendment stance. I’m no Romney fan either, but I’d vote for him. He’s saying the right things(for the most part), but I get the impression his core political beliefs aren’t strong, if he actually has any at all. If pressed, I guess I’d have to say Romney is my pick of those. Seems like a smart guy, at least, so I hope he’d do the smart thing most of the time if elected.
I am certain that either Obama or Clinton (her) will appoint new Justices just like Ruth Bader Ginsburg. I am not certain that our Constitution will survive another generation of Justices who violate their oaths of office.
I hope for a conservative Republican nominee. But I may feel forced to vote for an unattractive Republican nominee, because I fear the consequences of an appalling Democrat nominee. That's a rotten situation, but it MAY come down to that.
Congressman Billybob
