Idaho Romney Supporters Stand By Candidate After New Hampshire Loss
KIVI-TV ^ | Jan 9, 2008

Mitt Romney supporters in Idaho won't say they're disappointed in their candidate's finish Tuesday night, but State Schools Superintendent Tom Luna says he is anxious. "But I suspect that no matter who you're supporting right now on either party, cause its so fluid."

Right now, there's no clear front runner for the Republican presidential nomination. That's despite Romney spending far more money than any other candidate in both New Hampshire and Iowa and still losing both. But his Idaho campaign chair Lieutenant Governor Jim Risch says Romney's in a good position, because he has more delegate votes right now than any other candidate. Risch says, "You can be gathering votes, even winding up second in the race and be in the position that he's in. Where he as the most committed delegates right now."

Right now, Romney has 24 delegates and his closest competitor Mike Huckabee has 18. That means the most important primaries are yet to come.

Romney for President
Our guiding principle has always been to select the most conservative viable candidate. In our judgment, that candidate is Mitt Romney. Unlike some other candidates in the race, Romney is a full-spectrum conservative: a supporter of free-market economics and limited government, moral causes such as the right to life and the preservation of marriage, and a foreign policy based on the national interest. Btw, the premiums from private insurance companies dropped almost in half under this plan.

The state saved millions, rather than having to pay for uninsured people going to the hospital.

They also help those that can’t afford it. It comes down to a few dollars a week for a poor person.

Everyone talks health care, Romney had the courage to do something about it.

He does this in every field. Politicians talk the talk, but Romney has been the only one to actually do something.

He is a marvel in our political age.

The cross is used in many Christian churches as a symbol of the Savior’s death and Resurrection and as a sincere expression of faith. As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we also remember with reverence the suffering of the Savior. But because the Savior lives, we do not use the symbol of His death as the symbol of our faith.

The marvel is that the man advanced the radical left's agenda more than anyone has ever managed to do, and there are still people who believe him when he calls himself a Republican, much less a conservative. Yes, I marvel.

The Heritage Foundation likes Romney’s plan, but of course Petronski knows better...

That must be it. All these respected people are wrong and you alone are right. Gotcha.

Ever heard of John Willke? Founder of the Pro Life Movement?

He endorsed Mitt Romney

Virginia requires you to have liability....they don’t require you to insure your own vehicle against damage.

Romney is a full-spectrum conservative

Others have aptly called him a "cover-the-road" politician. It fits. If you don't like one of his stands, don't worry about it, he's got another one...

National Right to Life has been sold-out for quite some time. Real pro-lifers have known this all along. The reasons why are just now exposing themselves, in the persons of the men you name.

A very telling question. No. I'd rather have freedom, and government that is within its Enumerated Powers. Something folks like you, and Romney, have no conception of.

Nomination of Slick Willard surrenders the most important part of the health care debate. The only discussion left would be what KIND of government-mandated program would be forced on us.

That’s just one way that he’s a fraud of a conservative.
