Leave. Just go.
Mr. Paul, you are NOT a Republican. You may have views that intersect with some aspects of the Republican platform. That does NOT make you a Republican.
The Republican Party is a big tent movement. We don't apply nearly the same strictness when it comes to tests of ideological purity as the Democrats do, but we still have some standards. And you, sir, do not even come close to meeting them.
People who blame America for the acts of war made against it are not Republicans.
People who think that we blew up our own buildings on 9/11...or who hint that we might have...or who attract the support of people with such beliefs...are not Republicans.
People who may be receiving secret funding from George Soros...and who certainly receive energy and succor from radical leftists...are not Republicans.
People who have become the darling of, and the recipient of support from, America's neo-Nazis and white supremacists---and who refuse to openly repudiate that support---are not Republicans.
And people who publish racist, anti-Semitic, and anti-American newsletters...are not Republicans.
Oh, and your protestations of innocence regarding this racist, anti-Semitic, anti-American newsletter to which you attached your name are absurd. As Jonah Goldberg said yesterday on the Michael Medved show, if...

If Rudy McRomnabee is what passes for republican, I’d say the GOP has left us.
Yes, get out, damn you! You're reminding the Republicans that they have forgotten all about conserving the Constitution. They can't hear that treasonous talk because they've got big spending plans ahead! There are evangelical votes to buy with promises of a new Inquisition, and redneck yahoos to impress by buying ten new aircraft carriers and talking "tough on terror!"
(But just make sure you don't dare to notice that they really don't take terrorism seriously at all, because they've left the back door open to terrorists and anybody else who wants to walk right in as long as there is some chance they will help keep the consumer economy afloat...)
So enough of this Constitutionalist garbage, Ron Paul! We can't afford freedom right now, because EastAsia has sworn to destroy us! So just get out! ;)
Quality of posting on the FR decreasing rapidly. A pity...
Sorry, disagree. If you really believe we should have smaller government, you can’t support anyone else in this GOP primary but Ron Paul. I don’t agree with him on everything. I never will, but at least I know he won’t sell out his principles for cheap political gain like some front running Republicans in the race. I noticed he beat this websites’ two darlings yesterday, Fred Thompson & Duncan Hunter like a drum. It wasn’t even close. He almost beat Rudy as well.
Heck, a lot of folks wonder how much Soros money is going to paul's big fundraisers.
Ron Paul can be accused of many things, but accusing him of receinving funding from Soros is dead wrong. He is an enemy of Soros and his agents, as well an enemy of those who hire Soros for dirty jobs.
Just the other day I noticed posters in this forum stating that they wished all of Paul, Hunter & Keyes supporters would leave the party. One guy even said that Paul supporters were a cancer upon the GOP that needed to be cut out.
Of course in a few months these same posters will be telling everyone that we need every vote that we can get. That you must hold our nose and vote for Giuliani or you are delivering us to Hillary.
Paul adheres to more republican issues than several of the other candidates.
I'm sure that was a mere oversight.
David Duke ran on the platform of limited government and returning to Constitutional values, heck, he even disavowed racism, but didn’t mean the Republicna party had to accept him. If Paul was only about Constitutional values and limited government, we wouldn’t have a problem with him.
Remember, Fred Phelps talks about the bible and Christianity all the time, doesn’t mean you want him at your church.
maybe
I don’t think so. Here in Boulder, there are ron Paul signs and stickers everywhere. The primaries are full of saboteurs and “activists” that are pushing this fruitcake as a viable contender. The truth is plain to see - republicans will not vote for this clown nor should they allow him as part of the party. Would they let David Duke up onstage at a republican debate? Do they have to include RuPaul?
Note fReepers there are many saboteurs within the FR pages. See who they are most afraid of - Mitt Romney, Hunter, Thompson, McCain. Those are the candidates that would smash Hillary/Obama. They are all good candidates. The Dem candidates are all talentless unaccomplished hacks.
He cannot really do any worse
Oh, please. What self-indulgent tripe.
Here is the context of Ron Paul's rejection of the New Republic expose taken directly from Paul's site':
"January 8, 2008 5:28 am EST
ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA In response to an article published by The New Republic, Ron Paul issued the following statement:
The quotations in The New Republic article are not mine and do not represent what I believe or have ever believed. I have never uttered such words and denounce such small-minded thoughts.
In fact, I have always agreed with Martin Luther King, Jr. that we should only be concerned with the content of a person's character, not the color of their skin. As I stated on the floor of the U.S. House on April 20, 1999: I rise in great respect for the courage and high ideals of Rosa Parks who stood steadfastly for the rights of individuals against unjust laws and oppressive governmental policies.
This story is old news and has been rehashed for over a decade. It's once again being resurrected for obvious political reasons on the day of the New Hampshire primary.
When I was out of Congress and practicing medicine full-time, a newsletter was published under my name that I did not edit. Several writers contributed to the product. For over a decade, I have publicly taken moral responsibility for not paying closer attention to what went out under my name.
Nowhere in this statement does Paul indicate the writer was fired. I wonder where the above poster got his material. In fact, judging by the above denial, Paul would/should have no executive authority to fire anyone under the circumstances as stated. The whole implication being that whoever did this did so beyond the scope of Paul's control.
Which is exactly what the Dim’s are hoping for by feeding Run Paul’s campaign with Soros’ money.
“If Paul was only about Constitutional values and limited government, we wouldnt have a problem with him.”
Put down your pipe. I’ve seen enough of your posts to know that regardless of “anything whatsoever”, you would oppose him.
PAUL WANTS TO DESTROY OUR MILITARY - HOW IS THAT A REPUBLICAN ISSUE?
I agree. Time for Paul and any other, not a real Republican, candidate to get out of the party. And take your followers with you. Of course that would mean the Republicans wouldn’t have the chance of a snowball in Hell winning an election but, what the heck. At least the party would be pure.
