Just the other day I noticed posters in this forum stating that they wished all of Paul, Hunter & Keyes supporters would leave the party. One guy even said that Paul supporters were a cancer upon the GOP that needed to be cut out.

Of course in a few months these same posters will be telling everyone that we need every vote that we can get. That you must hold our nose and vote for Giuliani or you are delivering us to Hillary.

” ... you must hold our nose and vote for Giuliani or you are delivering us to Hillary ...”

That’s reality. Conservatives did well only with Reagan. Who since? Dole? W? I would not be surprised in the least if the nominee ends up being McCain. And once again, most of us here will hold our nose and vote for him. And the Republican party knows it.

Baaaaa .... Baaaaa .... Baaaaa

That's why there's this push for Paul to go 3rd party. It's all coming from the party elites. The GOP does not have the numbers or the money to defeat the Democrats, so they need a scapegoat. Personally, I find all of the piling on Paul amusing. When the general election rolls around, we Truthers/white supremacists/anti-war leftists who are supposedly supporting Paul now will suddenly morph into conservatives who became traitors because we won't hold our noses for the RINO. The Republican Party is going to lose the general in Reagan/Mondale proportions, and Paul should not give them a cop-out in a 3rd party bid.

That will be the only good thing about a Rudy nomination, sneering at these party hacks as I sit out or vote 3rd party.

Which is exactly what I’ve said for months around here - Republicans need Paul voters. Paul voters do NOT need Republicans.

It would behoove the establishment to make nice.
