Well, no conservative is popular. It just isn’t in the cards for a conservative to win the primary this year. Perhaps a Republican can win the general election, but not a conservative. Especially, since no conservative has shown any sign of winning the nomination.

The coalition that Reagan forged between fiscal and social conservatives. Giuliani represents all that social conservatives have been fighting against for years and if he is nominated we will leave the party.

I predict that McAin will run with Leibermann IF Bloomberg runs trying to split the ticket for the Beast like Perot did for Billy.

Welcome back, Johnnie. Was gettin’ worried ‘bout ya. You missed a lot while you were searching {in vain} for an inaccurate prediction of mine.

But, Hillary is still ahead of Obama.

Doctrines and traditions of men is the lite that’s leading most today, unfortunately. If one would listen to Our Lord and let him lead. This is not much different than what Our Lord ran into during His time on earth.

I didn’t know conservatives supported mandated health insurance accompanied by government imposed fines for not “going along with the program”... I also didn’t know that conservatives were keen on Gun Control... Thanks for setting us straight on that... /sarcasm

I have pictures of my FATHER in drag....at a fundraiser for flood victims. He and several other mill workers dressed in drag and did the Can Can. One of the funniest nights of my life.

Do you guys really think knocking Rudy over those pictures is going to sway someone’s political opinion?!

"Her (the Rodham-rodent) nomination would lead not only to a colossal electoral landslide for the Republican candidate (ANY Republican candidate) but would probably improve the GOP’s chance to take back the House with the “down ticket” ripple effect."

Best analysis I've read at FR in weeks. Kudos

I completely disagree. My guess is that McCain will have the tendency to want to micro-manage the war instead of letting the generals do their job. And McCain is wrong on waterboarding and Gitmo as well. So I can’t think of even one issue where McCain is the superior choice.

I did not know I needed your permission, but thanks! I will sit out `08 if it is McCain.

It’s high time the conservatives purge the GOP of RINOs. We got rid of that little ass-hat DeWine and Graham is walking dead in South Carolina. Get rid of McCain and the party is much better off.

I survived 4 years of Carter and 8 years of Clinton. I somehow think I’ll survive 4 or 8 years of another meat-head dem. But I will NEVER reward McCain with my timoe, my money or my vote. It simply will not happen.

Osama-Obama will probably close the gap based upon the “youth vote.”

Still, Hitlary will proclaim this a victory because she was so far down in the polls and came within a point or two.

Well...I’ve had enough of this. It’s bedtime for bonzo!

Fascinating (the pollsters’ Head to Head comparisons of all the candidates). They basically ALL have the Democrats winning. Only McCain could beat ANY of the Dems, if you believe the polls. That doesn’t make sense to me. I think (HOPE!) it will look very different once the nominees are chosen, and we can explain conservatism vs. liberalism. WHICH WE HAVE TO DO. MOST AMERICANS ARE CLUELESS, apparently.

The other wild card may be the women feeling sorry for Hillary in the debate when both Obama and Edwards ganged up on her!!
