You seem to have a religious test for the presidency. Many of America’s presidents have been committed Christians. Now, you seem to be arguing that a candidate who is vocal about his Christianity should not be elected. It is people like you who are going to split the coalition and destroy the Republican party.

No Bill can’t be a Veep.
A Veep has to be constitutionally eligible to be president.
Bill is not!

The answer is Thompson or Hunter -- the ones not getting the votes which is why I fear for conservatism in this country.
I'm getting more and more depressed. I simply cannot stomach a fool like McCain or Romney being the Republican nominee for President. It sickens me.

Golly, it's terrible to have religion mixed up in the electoral process. We might miss the best possible US president because we don't like his religion -- which we know little about in the first place. It's hard enough to find a candidate strong, smart and tough enough to lead the country out of the financial haze, keep jobs in America, contain terrorists, oversee some sort of international statecraft, and keep the illegals on their side of the border(s).
I'm perfectly willing to allow the next prez Sunday morning off (or Saturday night or whatever) to worship wherever and however he pleases. I'm not really entitled to an opinion about that. NOR, and this is very important, is he entitled to pass judgment on where when and how I worship.
