When Ron Paul Lunatics Attack (Ron Paul Lunatics Attack Hannity)
fimc.net via Hannity.com ^

Ron Paul Lunatics

Sean returns to his hotel after crazy Ron Paul protesters rallied outside of a restaurant he was visiting in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Video Link: http://zshn.fimc.net//Article.asp?id=543226

--my comments--

According to Ron Paul forums, about 200 Paul supporters were part of this attack on Sean. They claim they were only throwing snowballs but the videos make it clear they were throwing bottles and other items other than snowballs.

Warning, foul language by Paul supporters.

I know how you feel. The "right" wing used to be about "more Jesus and less Government".

Somewhere along the line it turned into "how about more Jesus and more Government"?

Citizens in favor of smaller government are left choosing between Coca Cola and asparagus (D) and diet Coke and a Taco salad (R). We wanted a beer and a BBQ. Forget it. Americans have voted for Statism, socialism and collectivism.

"If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism. I think conservatism is really a misnomer just as liberalism is a misnomer for the liberals–if we were back in the days of the Revolution, so-called conservatives today would be the Liberals and the liberals would be the Tories. The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is. Now, I can’t say that I will agree with all the things that the present group who call themselves Libertarians in the sense of a party say, because I think that like in any political movement there are shades, and there are libertarians who are almost over at the point of wanting no government at all or anarchy. I believe there are legitimate government functions. There is a legitimate need in an orderly society for some government to maintain freedom or we will have tyranny by individuals. The strongest man on the block will run the neighborhood. We have government to insure that we don’t each one of us have to carry a club to defend ourselves. But again, I stand on my statement that I think that libertarianism and conservatism are travelling the same path".

There is no force used in this video.

That does not support the conclusion that there was no use of force.

“What I love about you Ron Paul groupies is that you’re so well-mannered. Clearly so well-bred.”

“Such warm personalitites and apparently so well-adjusted.”

Can the sarcasm. I asked you to watch the video.

As far as I can tell, you didn’t. You’d rather make personal insults, accusing others of not being well mannered through poorly cloaked sarcasm.

Asking someone to read the article on FR is now rude? Who knew?

If you have any video footage of something being thrown I’d love to see it. I’d also be interested in any link to Hannity saying something was thrown (and what it was), especially if he just heard someone say hey don’t throw any snowballs.

Hypocrite.

...accusing others of not being well mannered through poorly cloaked sarcasm.

Why do you pretend the sarcasm was cloaked at all? Who would cloak sarcasm? It's only funny if it's right out there.

“...since you’re a big Hannity fan.”

From post #197
“If the stuff was thrown at him, he’s the victim. On his show today he mentioned the things being thrown.”

OK, so you’re a little Hannity fan. I have no idea how tall you are. Maybe you’re a midget. I don’t know, I’ve never met you.

Either way, you said you aren’t a fan in one post, and mentioned listening to his show in another.

So Hannity CLAIMED they threw things at him. The video shows otherwise.

The liar is Hannity. Not surprising since he supports abortionists.

I haven’t heard any Republicans talk that way like Reagan since shortly after the 94 Republican “broken glass” revolution, especially since this compassionate conservatism nonsense started with Bush.

I'm just coming to this thread. I'm sure the Ministry of Silly Explanations has quite a plausible reason for all of this behavior. I'm going to search this thread for it now.

Don't waste you time, it's a silly thread.

Something occured to me. Apologies in advance, I know you're a cat person, and I have them, but I'm a dog person.

Doe's Ron Paul have a pet.

Bubba had pets, a cat he gave away, two dogs who wandered and got run over by cars.

GWB has pets.

Does Ron Paul have a pet?

Before I get carried away, why has there been so little coverage about candidates pets?

I apologize for the distraction, but discussing Ron Paul and his positions is about as relevant as discussing candidates pets.

The main post is inaccurate. Try watching the videos.

No - I was nothing but civil to YOU on this thread.

“Why do you pretend the sarcasm was cloaked at all? Who would cloak sarcasm? It’s only funny if it’s right out there.”

It was out there, but not funny.

Did you watch the video yet?

You think only his fans listen to his show from time to time? That's absurd.

So Hannity CLAIMED they threw things at him. The video shows otherwise.

The video does not show that nothing was ever thrown. Rather, it shows that nothing that might have been thrown was caught on tape. Nonetheless, an eyewitness says things were thrown. At least one.

I don’t have a link, but I did hear Hannity say on his show today that he was hit in the shoulder by a snowball. He said he just smiled about it.

It’s silly for people to actually try to defend this type of behavior, or to suggest that somehow Hannity deserved it.

Flags are visible throughout the video starting at :23

Did you watch it?

Can the sarcasm. I asked you to watch the video.

My goodness, that charm school did a great job with you.

I just checked the small list of people from whom I'll take orders...you're not on it. Bummer, huh?

Asking someone to read the article on FR is now rude? Who knew?

I'm a little jet-lagged right now. Could you be a dear and go find where it was I said that?

Thanks. ;-)

What the hell should he "take?"

Ron Paul supporters are lunatics, by and large, and this latest escapade merely reinforced that impression among the general public.

The fact that these people are participating in the political process is yet another argument against deinstitutionalization, IMO.

The next time they pull this stunt they should be arrested and housed with the other idiotic anarchists who express their political opinions by assaulting people they disagree with.

No one is defending someone throwing a snowball, in fact in the video, someone repeats twice not to throw snow. What we are defending is the initial post that claims things are thrown including glass and rocks which the videos do not support and Hannity never claimed. THAT is the issue I have with. If someone DID throw snow, they should be charged with misdemeanor assault. It’s obvious from the videos though that is not representative of the entire group.

No - I was nothing but civil to YOU on this thread.

Like hell you were. You called me a big Hannity fan and said I hate Ron Paul. Two ugly lies.

You also said I hate Paul because:

...he opposes abortion and supports the rights of gun owners?

You can't insinuate I'm pro-abortion and anti-RKBA without being personally insulting.

No, you were not civil to me at all.

Please show me where in the video that anyone is assaulted or any rocks or glass is thrown or where Hannity makes this claim.
