Whatever happened to knocking on the door and serving a warrant?? Regardless this is an amazing abuse of power.

He immediately carried his son into their home several doors away, and John was able to recite Bible verses and correctly spell words as his father and mother, Tina, requested. There were no broken bones, no dilated eyes, or any other noticeable problems. The family, whose members live by faith and homeschool, decided not to call an ambulance.
The kid falls, hit's his head, and some little rodent paramedic tries to play God. So typical of many in the medical field today, they think "the patient" is just their slave to provide billable time/services against, without any say in the matter.

Dad says he’s going to sue and I hope he sets the taxpayers back by millions.

I think this is a nanny. Especially since this says the boy was released immediately:
>>>The paramedic and magistrate, however, ruled that that wasn’t adequate, and dispatched the officers to take the boy, John, to a hospital, where a doctor evaluated him and released him immediately.<<<

Hey, SWAT folks are not evil but dammit if they did not act like NAZI’s here. I would have totally questioned the order.
The POLICE state of NY has a tell on your neighbor system that goes in guns drawn first without any PROOF or facts to support. Its their ability to get in your home and look around for something to be upset about.

Social Services doesn’t need a warrant. They just show up at your door and demand to be let in. Should you refuse, a police officer WILL be summoned and they will invade your home...all on the word of someone that they will not identify

WOW - the excerpt was bad enough, but the story just gets worse at the link. I’m usually not an advocate of lawsuits - however, in this case...

According to friends of the family, Tom Shiflett, who has 10 children including six still at home, and served with paramedics in Vietnam, was monitoring his son's condition himself. The paramedic and magistrate, however, ruled that that wasn't adequate, and dispatched the officers to take the boy, John, to a hospital, where a doctor evaluated him and released him immediately.

If ever a lawsuit was justified, this is it. I hope the father sue everyone involved, and most especially the ambulance company, whose employee started all of this.

They should be thankful that ther weren’t shot or gassed, I suppose.
The disturbing part, again just my opinion, is that there are more than a few on this forum that see nothing wrong with actions such as this by l.e.
