OK, Fred is still my man, but now I feel much better about Mitt. Those two together on a ticket would provide a bit of glitz and economic expertise with Mitt, and great gravitas on international relations with Fred.

Clearly a focus group that already was “undecided” on who was going to be 2nd to Mitt Romney.

That look like a total Fox hit piece on Fred. Fred did GREAT!

Fred lovers, time to face facts!

Put your groupthink aside and see the handwriting on the wall. Fred is going nowhere. He showed no energy, no enthusiasm, no charisma, nothing.

Yes, he has some good ideas. Being POTUS goes way beyond having good ideas. A lot of us have good ideas, but we’re not going to be POTUS.

Huckabee bombed, and an unbiased group of NH repubs overwhelmingly voted him a dud.

Mitt Romney DOMINATED this debate. He was clear, concise, energetic and positive. He has a strong record as a leader and as the group said, HE can beat Obama.

They also said they think a Dem is going to win the election. For all we know this ‘focus group’ is full of Dems and liberal independents.

It was very bizarre.

I'm uncommitted, but Fred Thompson was straight forward and on point. And I'd sure as heck vote for him if he is our nominee.

Fred's got da GRAVITAS.

All the others talk, and my attention starts to wander. Fred talks, I listen. I don't have trouble focusing my attention on what he's saying. Kinda strange, but something I noticed tonight.

Who do you think won? I say Fred won based on substance. Mitt finished 2nd. What ticks me off about this debate, is that they shut Fred out of most of it. Then a voter says "Fred didn't address the issues"- Duh! He didn't get a chance to say much. Still, he did the most he could do with his time.

I wish Rush would do "the EIB Republican debate", and moderate it himself. That would be something to hear/see?-if Fox would give him the air time.

I don't see why Republicans have to put up with democrat moderators at their debates- it should be a Republican doing the moderating.

“Yeah Mitt but everyone else didn’t change their position 6 months ago.”

Neither did Mitt.

Iknow what you mean. Huck was doing political speak on immigration. The only straight talker in the bunch is Fred.

Yes, IN a true RED state, the 1st three or four are RINO-lands.

IMHO the center of gravity of politics and GOP power is the South, Fred knows this, and will be full stride by them IMHO.

It should be hilarious to see them poll a bunch of undecideds in South Carolina and see what they think of that Mitt McPhony.
