Republican Presidential Candidate Debate #14 Milford, New Hampshire 01/06/08 - Official Discussion Thread
Fox News Channel; Roundtable format
Candidates the gatekeepers are allowing to participating:
LOL
I wish you had read my caveat(sigh). Here it is: If it comes down to Rudy and Obama or Hillary...I will vote for Rudy. Would you feel more comfortable with Hillary or Obama in charge?
“Despite Fred’s acting credentials, I’m not sure how is laid back manner will play compared to Obama’s energy and enthusiasm.
That’s what I am saying! He’s comes across as slow and old and that just won’t win it. We shouldn’t put someone up who is destined to lose! Why not just vote for Obama?”
I agree. This is a terrible performance so far for Fred. He is going overboard with his slow delivery and appears as if he is not able to get his thoughts straight.
The only one worse is Huck. He is getting severly routed and the country is not ready for his “FairTax” Both that tax and Fred’s flat tax would devastate single-income, middle-class working families like mine with several children.
Mitt Romney is schooling them all big time. He is clear, concise and thoughtful in his answers.
He said we should look for him! Genius.
“So, Mr. McCain, you know how to get Bin Laden, huh? How?”
Unless McLame can do something NO ONE has been able to do yet...convince Musharrif to let U.S. soldiers go into Pakistan...NO ONE running for President “knows” how to get Bin Laden.
McCain quotes Slick Willard on amnesty from 2005 and as he speaks, Fox News puts the quote up on the screen!
Way to go Fox News!
LOLOL
You just get done over at DU?
We need HUNTER in there, to smack all these knuckleheads (with the exception of Thompson, maybe).
I wouldn’t bet against her, She is the tactician, slow burn, come-on South Carolina...
Who has lied more tonight Huckabee or McCain?
“Mitt Romney is as sharp as tack, he can handle this, and the country.”
Sad but true. It is amazing the number of people around here that don’t understand economics or have never had to make payroll.
McCain has already shown that he would take the politically expedient choice in a tough situation, which is something that Fred most likely would not do.
Bingo, I heard Romney say the “Z Visa” just needed a tweek and he could support the McCain plan. That’s when I got turned off to Romney.
I am not watching the debate. I am watching the comments. Praise from advocates . . . ignored. Criticism from haters . . . ignored. Occasional praise for a candidate that is not your own, meaningful. Criticism of your own candidate, meaningful.
I see nothing in the scroll here to suggest any significance in the debate beyond weakness in McCain and an apparent collapse by Huckabee — who may be the first out of money.
Wallace keeps skipping Fred....Fred needs to jump in
Fred is the man! He is the only one in this group in the debate tonight that I would be comfortable calling Mr. President.
Romney, McCain fillibustering on the issue. Uh oh, here comes Gomer again.
How did Fox News get that up so fast....
Thompson is the only one on that stage who is right on Immigration.. Considering it is the #1 issue for a lot of people, this may bump him more in the polls.
