Illegal Aliens Receive $37 Million From (L.A.) County In November
KHTS ^ | Saturday, 05 January 2008 | Carol Rock

Welfare and food stamp benefits soar $3 million higher than September payout.

New statistics from the Department of Public Social Services reveal that illegal aliens and their families in Los Angeles County collected over $37 million in welfare and food stamp allocations in November 2007 – up $3 million dollars from September, announced Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.

Twenty five percent of the all welfare and food stamps benefits is going directly to the children of illegal aliens. Illegals collected over $20 million in welfare assistance for November 2007 and over $16 million in monthly food stamp allocations for a projected annual cost of $444 million.

“This new information shows an alarming increase in the devastating impact Illegal immigration continues to have on Los Angeles County taxpayers,” said Antonovich. “With $220 million for public safety, $400 million for healthcare, and $444 million in welfare allocations, the total cost for illegal immigrants to County taxpayers far exceeds $1 billion a year – not including the millions of dollars for education.”

The government is corrupt. The government has conspired to commit, aid and abetted a massive fraud against the tax payers, failed to uphold the Constitution are failed to perform their sworn duties. This is clear, and those involved should be held responsible, criminally prosecuted and imprisoned.

No offense, but I am tired of Bush being blamed for illegal immigration

Who cares if we offend you. He's damn sure responsible. He not only ignored the problem, he went out of his way to exacerbate it, intimidate anyone who attempted to stop it, and basically tore the Republican Party apart over his stubborn refusal to get right on it, stop being malfeasant, and enforce our laws.

In a different era a President who acquiesced to wholesale invasion by a foreign populace claiming the land as their own would have been tried in a real court and not just in the court of public opinion.

You mean like Reagan?

Sorry.. I am taking back the Reagan comment. I know saying anything about Reagan earns you quick doghouse status.

However, I would like to see the amnesty bill Bush signed. I haven’t had the oppoetunity to read it and before I condemn the President for letting in 38 million(?) illegals I would like to see what he signed.

It’s not just the government. It’s the entire political and economic system that is being corrupted by illegal immigration. Government is just 1/3rd of the problem.

I think Corporations profit most and share the greatest portion of the blame. The Democratic party, who see illegal immigrants as future (and current) voters shares the blame. The Left in general, who see them as part of their anti nationalist agenda share the blame. Guys who just want to get their houses painted and lawns mowed for cheap share a small portion of the blame too. There are a lot of different people and agendas exploiting the issue for their own interests, not just the government.

Let me add the liberal wing of the Republican party, who see the issue as a way to marginalize conservatives and destroy the Party of Reagan.

Reagan made mistakes. People just don't remember them. Ed Meese freely admits now that the 86 Amnesty was a mistake, because he didn't understand how chain immigration ("family reunification") would result in the newly legitimized illegals bringing in 3 times as many of themselves and how it ended up encouraging not less but more illegal immigration -- in the expectation of another amnesty.

So Southern California is mainly populated now by the amnestied illegals, their families, and their friends who are illegals currently.

I don't think RR or Meese saw that coming.

As for Bush signing an amnesty, he hasn't been able to do that because of our relentless opposition. Frying the Senate's phone system last May was the final message to those idiots: don't do it unless you want to be permanently dis-elected. But they seem not to have completely internalized that message and are headed back the wrong direction. Becoming the minority party by pissing off your base is not exactly the mark of a sane group of people. But, that's what they're doing.

And that won't stop Mr Bush from trying. I fully expect him to pull some blanket pardon gig before he leaves office, even if he can't get a bill out of the Congress.

And he won't care what it does to the Republican Party. He's a Bush, not a Republican. That's who he works for. The Family, and no one else. Do a Google image search on George P. Bush to see what I mean.

Bodega owner gets prison for smuggling, trafficking
by The Associated Press Friday October 12, 2007

A Union City bodega owner was sentenced to four years and two months in federal prison today for illegally shuttling more than $1 million to Mexico and harboring illegal immigrants.

Federal prosecutors said much of the money was earned by Mexican women who had been put to work as prostitutes after being smuggled into the United States.

Jose Luis Notario was also ordered to pay a $10,000 fine by U.S. District Judge Joseph E. Irenas in Newark.

Notario, 52, is the 13th person to be sentenced in the government's investigation into a large-scale smuggling and trafficking ring operating out of Union City. The other sentences ranged from 15 months to nearly five years.

Federal agents found that families around San Miguel Tenancingo, Mexico, smuggled Mexicans ages 17 to mid-20s into the United States to work as prostitutes, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Newark said. The teens and women gave their earnings to the traffickers, who sent the money back to the traffickers' families in Mexico. The judge said that Notario's building in Union City was the "epicenter" of the prostitution operation.

Surveillances and trash checks revealed that the location was used as a "safe house" for Mexican women working as prostitutes.

Of course the corporations share the blame. I agree. But the problem is they basically corrupted the politicos. The politicians are in their pockets. Bought and paid for with special interest money by the truckload.

It was the politicos in D.C. that *allowed* this to occur.

Super celebrities and rock stars rent gazillion dollar aircraft. The corporations *own* them. Corporations have become extremely powerful both politically and financially. It's driving the political corruption.

So, who should the taxpayers be blaming, exactly?

.

Good post potlatch!

The MSM is trying to claim that illegal aliens / open borders is no longer the priority issue in the 2008 general election

This to give cover to the obvious agendas of all of the democrat candidates and to boost Republican RINOS Huckabee and McCain who are pro-illegal and pro-amnesty yet now lie about it

Unfortunately for McCain and Huckabust their speeches and comments on TV and in newspapers are all available on the internet

The only surprise to me is that they are releasing the figures. It really should be common sense that illegals cannot get by on the low salaries they are generally paid.
Illegals use social services to get by on low wages, meaning taxpayers are making it possible for business owners to pay low wages. I cannot imagine why anyone would support this if they knew how it all really works.
