I should include Duncan also, he is ahead of Fred in the early returns.

Hunter was second with 21 percent and Fred Thompson, who hadnt won any delegates, was third with 17 percent.

Mitt has a built in advantage with the LDS vote there, like Huck had an advantage in Iowa because it has enough Evangelical voters that in a crowded field they can push their candidate over the top.

As much as I dislike Mitt....this lineup looks more like a true GOP lineup with Hunter and Fred in the top three. Rudy 00000. LOL.

A few votes is NOT statistically valid. This is a marathon, not a sprint.
This is *SO* not over yet.

Lots of LDS in Wyoming. This overcomes the evangelical factor.

As already said, these are the only three who did any campaigning. Another explanation is that this is kind of a regional vote. Romney because he’s Mormon and Utah-based (despite his time in Mass.), Hunter because he’s a western conservative, and Fred third because he’s a southern conservative.

Not surprising to see Romney do well, as there are a lot of Mormons in Wyoming.
