CLINTONS NO LONGER THE LIFE OF PARTY (inevitability to inadequacy)
NY POST ^ | January 4, 2008 | CHARLES HURT

Posted on 01/04/2008 4:36:45 AM PST by Liz

Awaiting her coronation, Hillary Rodham Clinton instead faced a seething revolt within her own party. More than 70% of Iowa Democrats rejected her....after 15 years of domination, the Clinton dynasty has finally lost its grip on the Party. What's devastating to her is that she lost so badly to a political novice. The problem with caressing the jewels of the crown before the coronation is that it's embarrassing when it turns out that the coronation goes to someone else. Clinton's invincibility has turned into inadequacy.

It is a problem. My 20 something daughter’s like what Obama has to say. They will not fall for the line but the change theme has caught their attention. I pointed out he has not actually said exactly how this change will happen. They also like what RP has to say - again it feeds the notion that the same old stuff is broken.

A young Christian Republican was on F&F and said much the same thing. He also said he did not caucus for the huckster - did not like some of his ‘nanny state ideas’.

“i wouldn’t count themselves out.”

you said it. they’re too cunning to be put out by some primary in “flyover country”. look closely at their campaign and you’ll see the devil in the details.
They are truly inevitable.

I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but these people are survivors, a la Don Corleone.

All it takes is a 4 year old with bug spray when the time is right.

In a news conference Deanna Favre announced she will be
the starting QB for the Packers this coming Sunday. Deanna
asserts that she is qualified to be starting QB because she
has spent the past 16 years married to Brett while he played
QB for the Packers. During this period of time she became
familiar with the definition of a corner blitz, and is now
completely comfortable with other terminology of the Packers
offense. A survey of Packers fans shows that 50% of those
polled supported the move.

She’s in a tough position. She needs them both in the race to split the anti-Clinton vote.

I got 10 bucks that says there will be major revelations about Obama’s character...and very soon.

You'd win. According to FoxNews, Hillary's campaign just announced that that very tactic will now be employed in the wake of last night's defeat.

That's great, IMHO. Let the Queen Mantis out of that little cage in the basement where she keeps her multiple personalities.

Let her do her best to destroy her Dem rivals. Hillary will lose, and so will the party.

Interesting to watch the Mainstream Media attempt to mitigate the Clinton asskicking last night.

No black man has ever won like Obama did, but the media isn’t talking about that aspect at all - for the most part.

Hillary’s problem is that Obama is getting the airhead vote she was counting on. The younger voters and female voters in the Democrat primaries (and caucuses) are largely clueless and get their “news” from fraudulent leftist websites (males) or from shows like Oprah and The View (females). Hillary was counting on those voters to propel her candidacy.

But those voters are heavily driven by emotion rather than logic or reasoning. Think of a Michael Moore film or a Soros funded PAC. Hillary thought that she could ride an emotional wave as the first viable “woman” candidate, but Obama has eclipsed her by being black. Oprah’s endorsement of him sent the airhead vote his way, and that’s a decisive vote in the Democrat world. Plus, Obama, while clueless, is a personable type of guy who appears youthful. Hillary makes the wicked witch from the Wizard of Oz look like Shirley Temple.

Bill Bennett had some excellent comments on the subject. Said that Obama not once used the race issue, conducted himself with dignity and put Sharpton and Jackson to shame (I'm paraphrasing). Donna Brazille was sitting right next to him and did not have a chance to speak because Bennett went long.

Hillary doesn’t play well to young women, She comes off as the staid strict VP type. The corporate damnon who demands that young women respect her authority because she has paid her dues. The type that gives compliments as easily as pulling a horse into a burning barn.

She will start dropping atom bombs if she doesn’t do well in NH. I think she will take NH though. Those New England chunky short-hair types really like her.

His character cannot be any worse than Billary’s.

More and more, Hillary is making me think of the evil woman in the new Dr. Who series who is nothing more than streched skin. She is a parody of a real human herself, but views all other people as "mongral" humans, not worthy of notice as anything more than servants or annoyances.

The RNC better pay attention to what she does over the next month. It’s how they win in November.

I am happy for Obama. It is really great that this country has progressed enough for his Iowa win to happen. However, I cannot support Obama’s super liberal views. It saddens me that he is not on my side.

It is interesting that Obama beat Hillary at about the same margin that Huckabee beat Romney...but they are calling the Republican Caucus a blowout. What gives?
