Did the weakest Dem candidate for the general election won tonight? I think so.
By sending forth Hussein Osama out of Iowa, Democrats have unwittingly weakened their general election prospects.
Hussein's exotic mixture of radical liberalism, Kwanzaa Socialism, antipathy towards the unborn, and weakness against his jihadi brethren will all come back to destroy him against almost any Republican opponent, even the snake-grope from Hope.
I think we as Republicans should be celebrating tonight at the coronation of Hussein, in whose presence millions of Democrat women, from elementary school teachers to journalism majors to law school grads to dykes on bikes will go weak in their knees.
As defenders of this great Republic, and of the pinnacle of Western civilization that it represents, we should all come together tonight and agree on a common strategy that will keep the White House from becoming a madrassa.
God Bless America, Land of the Free.
Rush live on FOX right now.
No one has as big of negatives in national polling as Hillary; Obama’s not our weakest opponent, and no, someone from Hope would not be able to crush him. A side by side election will likely favor the novelty over the preacher.
It depends on who the Republican nominee is.
Obama is exactly what the dems want. The general will pit the GOP against a far-left candidate. There should be a lot of cross-over dems by then.
Obama has an appeal. His problems begin when his liberal ideas become highlighted.
Come on, what the heck is his appeal? Please enlighten me.
No. He is the best general election candidate on their side and we will very likely lose to him. I’m gonna make a ton of cash on intrade in the process but it’s sad.
Many people on this site are enjoying attacking other Republicans. Good. Enjoy the years of Obama, you’re asking for it.
Hillary will savage Obama in the following primary contests. That will be ammunition the Republican candidate can use against Obama, and it will be guilt-free since Hillary brought it up first.
Hillary, otoh, is a known entity and many people don't like what they see.
Well, a third place finish in Iowa’s great for Hillary’s cash pot; she’ll be able to tap a lot of held money, especially from Southern democrats. An Edwards third place would have been good enough, it’d keep him rolling towards South Carolina, but this second place finish will likely burn him more than it helps. First place Obama win will cause many of his supporters to believe he’s ordained to victory while they’ll get one heck of a surprise in New Hampshire.
The lurch to the left that Hillary will have to take after this won’t do her any favors come the general election either. Honestly, though, I think you’re looking at a brokered convention at this point for the Rats, especially as I think Richardson will be the spoiler who will leave it open. And an open convention is the Rats worst nightmare.
He doesn’t appeal to me but it is not unlike the Huckabee, Edwards appeal. It starts with pretty stories and casting yourself as the ally of the common man against the great big mean world.
Why?
I agree some liberals will and do find him appealing. But conservative independents and Republicans will be turned off by him. We should be able to paint him as a far left candidate.
Obama’s “appeal” is generated by the MSM. Listening to all the talking heads tonight, one would assume Iowa represents the entire US, and the entire US wants C H A N G E.
Someone please tell these people Pres Bush is not running this time.
Jeez!
Hussein is a novelty, but he is not qualified to lead a bowling team.
The Dems could Run William Jefferson and beat Huckabee.
He scares me—maybe as much as Herself does.
