Mike Huckabee supporters check in here.

Posted on 01/03/2008 6:46:37 PM PST by Arcy

I for one am excited about Huckabee's leading and probably winning in Iowa! Here's a guy who has made REAL income tax reform a high priority of his candidacy. While some of the other candidates have claimed tax reform as part of their plan, non have been more passionate about the need for it and willing to make it a center-piece of their plan for America as Mike Huckabee. I believe that the average American has recognized in Mike Huckabee, a person of integrity and vision, a man who keeps his word, a man of faith, and therfore, is worthy of their support. He certainly has 100% of mine!

As a broken glass republican, I will say if Huckabee gets the nomination, I will not vote in the 2008 election.

*******************

That makes two of us. No, three. Mr. Trisham won't vote for him, either.

I'm sorry, I don't like Huckster at all, but if he were to actually win, not voting gets us one of the big three Democrats, particularly the hag.

Now that's dumb.

No, voting for a socialist is dumb.

Sorry, Huckster isn't a strident socialist, he is simply a dumb tax and spender nor would he ever call himself a socialist.

None of the candidates are pure free enterprise people, not one.

But the Democrats are all pure Marxists, and I'm sorry, there is a difference.

I’m sorry you’re sorry. Huckabee is a pro-illegal, pro-open borders, socialist. I won’t vote for him.

Hey, I'm a Thompson supporter, and will not support this guy Huckster in the primaries. I don't like him compared to the others, I've made that plain. He is my second least favorite R candidate.

But if you think I believe Fred is perfect, fugheddaboutit.

No one else is either.

My point is, if this guy actually wins the nomination, and that's a huge if, I won't sit out and let a Marxist destroy us. And Huckster isn't that in spite of your hyperbole.

Do as you will.

I won't vote for Huckabee.

Better united in opposition to the Dem, than splintered and having to defend a Huckabee disaster that would be draped around our GOP necks.

The press and supporters of others will mock his lack of “foreign policy “ experience and magnify every “gaff” .

But all of us have seen that kind of error by other candidates in the past that later became president.

Anyone can learn geography facts and be briefed by men that have foreign policy experience, most of the governors ( including Bush ) were pretty PERSONALLY ignorant on those matters before they took office.

What we need to look at is the core of the man. Will he stand for something other than personal power,? Will he make decisions from a core that is honest and has some moral roots?

Character is something that can not be taught or tutored. Either a man has it or he does not.

Huck has that , that is why I support him

I think you are confusing character with the ability to speak and connect to large audiences.

Just my 2 cents. I think Huck has speaking ability but not stong character, and their are quite a few examples to give to show that.

You can make that three of us. Last spring I said I would not vote for Rooty. I meant that.

I also will not vote for Huck. I will only vote for a conservative candidate. I will not hide behind a pro life liberal.

Somehow, I don’t think we’ll be doing something like that again in 2008.

Don't worry, Obama/Hillary/Edwards are leftist enough to make most here vote for any RINO just to see them beaten--including Huckabee and McCain.

So between Huckabee and Obama/Hillary/Edwards, you will sit it out? Help a leftist win the whitehouse?

We have been through this before last spring but with a different candidate. Both ends are repulsive. We have the snobby elite liberals vs evangelical misguided liberals.

Neither are conservatives, they are just louder and more selfish, each having to have their own way. Argh.

Both use the same tact which qualifies them as deserving of each other.

For the life of me, I don't know why Huckabee is running as a Republican. I can only hope he does poorly in NH, which I think is quite possible.

I'm going to see if I can make another contribution to Fred.

LOL, can we come up with enough to buy him a half hour of TV time?

I sure would like to see the tone of all of this change.

It seems we are swerving between extremes.

I doubt it. :) It must cost a small fortune.

I’m a Thompson supporter. I think his mistake was not taking a tour of Iowa and telling everyone he’s a baptist
minister. After all, your guy lied about a few things.
Were you, as a Christian, ok with that?
