I thought the time was right to start up a live thread for results and comments about tonight, so here we are!
First, please consider being a monthly donor to FReeRepublic. It is unfortunate that you haven’t filled out your home page. Maybe we would get to know you alittle better.
Second, Rush is a relief to me everyday. I have always lived in a very liberal area and sometimes you just have to get yourself centered. I sincerely ask you to try that, perhaps you have taken Rush too seriously and forgotten that Rush is an entertainer with a whole lot of good advice. He’s is a lot of fun too!
Where did the other 55% go... ? to the cult group... LOL!
[and that brings up an interesting question, as to whether the “brain dead media” is counting a “cult group” as an Evangelical — wouldn’t put it past them for being *that dumb*... LOL]
You just might get your wish. The way the numbers have been trending, Hillary may end up with 29 and not enough change to round up.
Senator Barack Obama : 37.24%
Senator John Edwards : 29.97%
Senator Hillary Clinton : 29.56%
Governor Bill Richardson : 2.14%
Senator Joe Biden : 0.94%
Uncommitted : 0.12%
Senator Chris Dodd : 0.03%
Precincts Reporting: 1656 of 1781
(Percentages are State Delegate Equivalents.)
The Pubs started almost an hour after the donks did. FYI, if you’re sick of the MSM coverage, turn on Hugh Hewitt. He is on till 11 tonight, and Mark Steyn is coming on in a minute.

“Fox is getting worse than CNN!”
Hard to believe but I actually enjoy CNN more these days. (To be more precise, CNN is less painful to watch.)
Hi sweetie. Wondered where you were. HILLARY TO MAKE A STATEMENT ON MSNBC SOON.
I’m not a Paulbot. I’ll probably vote for McCain as an anti-Romney vote. The IA GOP caucus were 60% Born-Again or Evangelical Christian and the war in Iraq was of importance to only 17% of them. The numbers in NH next week will be quite a bit different, more in line with the less religious and more concerned about the war voting group Paul attracts.
Ron Paul was just eliminated from a debate because he was thought to be an afterthought, an asterisk, but Iowa GOPers gave him 74% of the total Fred Thompson got. There’s no way he is left out of that debate now. Hunter was left out and will remain left out, likely.
Fred just raised over $2M in the last couple of weeks...he's not out of money!
Very sad that we are now viewing FOX news with the same disdain as the Left... FAUX News? FO SHURE!
“400 votes separate the two...McCain ignores Iowa and matches Thompsons all-in strategy...what in the world is going on in Iowa?”
It’s the MSM’s support, that is what is wrong. The MSM has been touting the Huckster and McInsane right along, in particular this last week. They wanted to stop Romney who was more of a threat. They wanted him out if possible and Huckabee was their surrogate in Iowa, and McCain will serve the same purpose in NH. And the people in Iowa, already prepped because of the huge amount of Evangelicals living there, fell right into the media trap as to who to vote for. Never underestimate the power of the press.
C'mon Hitlery... Number three!!!
Jesse probably doesn't talk to his wife very often.
Pat Robertson won big in Iowa and then fizzled out. Will Huckabee follow Robertson? We will know real soon.
Actually, the traditional colors were blue for party currently in the White House (whether the incumbent was running or not), and red for the ‘challenging party’. Thus in the first Bush election the tradition was followed.
Still, I say we won the Cold War, and liberated the color red from the left. (A splendid color as any Nebraska Cornhusker fan knows.)
“Fred has been a gentlemen so far Romanesq..
He should go on Savage and Beck.”
Agreed about Fred. And he should go wherever an audience can hear him.
But Fox and the media are clearly against Fred. They are ignoring him and pumping up McCain which I find to be absurd.
We’ve been getting INSTRUCTED by the MSM for at least the last two weeks that Romney and Huck were the two main contenders in Iowa.
Is it any surprise that the results turn out that way?
I detest the way they handled it, because it tends to give those guys a little farther back in the pack less credibility.
Guys like Thompson.
It ain’t over by a long shot. But you can bet there will be alot of Monday morning quarterbacking saying Fred waited too long, yada yada...
Hey jonny. Who is your choice? I am hoping for Thompson.
Probably spends more time with his mistresses...
ROTFL! Chris “one half of the waitress sandwich” Dodd actually got a couple of votes?! ;-D
