Very few republicans will support this double talking bottle head frail senile man with Elmer Fudd features and a feminine lisp to lead the most powerful country in the world.

This would help the eventual Republican nominee. On the other hand, if Huck does this, this country is effed.

Today I saw a car with "Ron Paul Revolution" painted in large block letters on each side....probably a spray can and homemade stencil. A bumper sticker on the rear read "Think Globally, Act Locally". I would put the owner of the car somewhere left of center.

small correction...

Texas Rep. Ron Paul refused to rule out a third party bid Sunday when he fails to win the Republican Party presidential nomination.

I can’t believe he (Paul) would take any Republicans with him. Especially when there are so many fine, true, conservative, smaller government, less taxes, return education to local control, second amendment supporting and border securing Republicans that might get the nomination. No. Not with Rudy, Mitt, or Mike to vote for.

I think his most ardent supporters lately are former Democrats who like his anti-war, get America out of everywhere stand.

I believe he was a Libertarian until recently and only changed registration so he could get a ticket to ride the media coverage of the candidates.

Nope, only people who think hanging out with Troofers makes one a desirable C-in-C. Few of them are Republicans.

If he has run as a libertarian in the past, then that’s a good indication of what direction he might take in the future. The libertarians have no hope of actually winning an election, so the trade-off would have to be beneficial to them. There would be some kind of political concession by the republicans or a hope on their part for a democratic win.

This year, though, Paul might pull as many from the looney left as he does from the anti-war republicans.

Paul will take the Libertarian-Pubs who are so filled with unreality in domestic and foreign policy decisions, Isolationist, so filled with disgust over so called promises that they should know are always compromised (even Ronnie did sometimes) that they will break apart the GOP coalition for pure revenge and self righteous conviction. Of course, like Perot, they will produce some Socialist-Pacifist Dem as Prez and both Houses will fall deeper into Dem hands. Outrageous, inane, and self-destructive but purists of any camp do that though they will then rue the day when the results become clear in a general election. I will support the GOP nominee, period.Because I know that that guy will be better than the Hildabeast or the Empty Suit.

Pay little attention to the many ineloquent comments on the subject.

As you no doubt fear, of course it will.

Despite the protests to the contrary here, he didn’t get elected with an “R” next to his name by accident.

Now if he were on the same ticket as bloomberg then it would be well worth it, seeing the real damage to the dems that that ticket would ensue.

He’ll probably take votes almost evenly from both parties, just like Perot did.

I'm afraid so. A lot of people are looking at him, not so much here, but elsewhere. I wouldn't even if I don't like the Repub nominee. The last thing we need this election is a spoiler like Perot.
