Gee, but it was okay to throw puppies in dumpsters right?
This is about Marxist anti-Christ Enviro-fascism. Of all the huge egg companies they could have harassed (that have lawyers btw), they find an abbey.
Lord, thank you for sparing your daughter her ignorance...
For you know what I would do if there.

I suggest PETA write a check to the Monastery to help them in this time of crisis as they have crippled the Monks of their income.
To: Nasty McPhilthy
The monks are far to nice to say it in public, but where are the good lawyers who can help them to say “Eat Me” to these maroons. Is it gonna take a revolution? If so, name the place and give me time to get there.

Is the Monks of Skete next, for their cruelty to German Shepherds?

Were delighted to learn that Mepkin is getting out of the cruelty business and we hope that we can work with them to remove the hens from these cages, PETA vice president Bruce Friedrich said. Those hens are going to become chicken noodle soup, Bruce. Are you really that stupid? Just paw the ground once for 'no' and twice for 'yes.'

What a bunch of low-life POS’s. They’re actually happy they drove a bunch of peaceful monks out of their livelihood.

Wow...I didn’t know that Piggly Wiggly still existed! Back when I was a kid out on my paper routes, I would stop at a Piggly Wiggly that was near my house.
I’m glad PETA wasn’t around back then, as I would have set up an ambush and egged the goofy idiots, and the shot them in the butt with my BB gun.

Abbot Stan Gumula has disputed PETAs claims, but said the continuing dispute detracts from their life of prayer, work and contemplation.
Hey Abbot Stan don’t you answer to a higher power? Tell them you’ve decided to open a mink ranch.

...PETA charged that the birds at Mepkin Abbey were caged in cramped quarters and suffered inhumane practices. ...while people in Russia live in cramped in-law apartments and suffer inchickane practices, and that is OK. Put the chicky threat mills in the cages and let them roam freeeeee!

I guess they can always go to Reggie's.
But don't ask for decaf or a big salad.

What happened to the monks of old who would tell the nutty terrorists to shag off?

So, the customers, who support the whole operation, have no say, but the monks are acceding to those who invest nothing but harassment?

Seems to me we ought to put the PETA folks in too-small cages...
These communist nitwits are way over the edge, and have successfully gotten otherwise sane folks to buy into their claptrap. If it were up to them, we’d all be wearing clothing woven from hemp (their favorite plant, I think) and meandering around in open, unimproved spaces...not too much different from most of the third world countries that we generally (though ineffectually) try to assist.

“PETA vice president Bruce Friedrich said.”
Someone needs to pound this dirtbags head into the fertilizer that the monks sell.
It might teach him something.....

Another surrender to the PETA terrorists. Who’s next?
To: Nasty McPhilthy
When William Perry went home for the off-season one year, Mike Ditka made a comment that, "the chicken population in South Carolina is in severe trouble."
Of course, maybe the monks could partner with a local synagogue and make some nice chicken soup for a while.
