According to the account they were kicking the truck and trying to open the door. It sounds like he already was locked in the truck. When police arrived, he was outside the truck standing over the “suspects.” I’m not going to cry over the guy charged with murder though, he sounds like a really bad guy and that society would be better served if he was not amongst us. I just can’t figure at waht point deadly force was necessary.

The law reads when you fear for your life.

I have lived in that part of the world, currently live on the west coast of Florida. Lots of nut cases and criminals live in S. Florida transplanted from other parts of the country.

I can easily understand how a Haitian guy would fear for his life when two thugs start beating on his car with a weapon drawn and you are locked in a traffic flow.

I carry a S&W 40 everyday in Tampa, if two thugs started beating on my car with a knife drawn screaming at me trying to break into my car, I would have done the exact same thing........except both thugs would have been dead........
